I am sceptical about the long term, but it’s been good the last few days.

I know nothing about the technicalities of accessing websites, but it strikes me that the invader is excluded temporarily perhaps by a “fix” on the VSC site which safeguards access for a few days and then the invader devises a new route into it and so the problem returns.

If only someone would tell what is going on, what those who are responsible for the VSC site are actually doing…

Is the intimation here that it's some sort of load balancer issue? Whilst plausible, I'd need to know a lot more about the hosting across application, database and underlying servers before I'd align with that view.
Looking at the site info, it's hosted by Ionos who are significantly sized, so I am struggling to believe this is their infrastructure. Looks like more of a coding/database issue.

Has a ticket been raised with Ionos support? I've generally found them helpful.
