We are close to signing two front men and two keepers, hopefully not just rumours.

He’s the Yorkshire post reporter who’s posted this , it’s what Ricky mentioned the other week when interviewing Grant , who I think are both on holiday so updates might be short.

Still think some ink will dry this week ;-)

I think Grant has had the weekend in the US (non football related) so probably will not be back in the ‘office’ until tomorrow? I guess we’ll get to know a bit more then!

I have heard one or two things lately, from a good source, but I can’t possibly divulge, otherwise that info route will very quickly evaporate.

Whats the point in mentioning it if you’re not going to elaborate?

Considering you tend to always take these fake X profiles transfer rumours seriously i am a bit skeptical on this.

Come on DVR, that’s a bit childish to say the least. Basically, all I was doing was re-enforcing what Selby has reported. It seems there are a few who have heard the jungle drums beating, so there’s probably something in it. It may prove to be garbage, but the nearer we get to the end of June, the more chance that GM will be getting his targets sorted.

But Selby hasn’t “reported” anything!

Let me have a go, this sounds like a good game:

Apparently we are much closer than we were last week to signing four new players - reportedly 2 goalkeepers and a couple of forwards / strikers.

No names, no pack-drill.

Protecting my source.

Mum’s the word.

 ;)

We did miss out on 38yo David McGoldrick earlier in the summer, that’s who that video was about. Not sure if that’s an indicator as to the style of player we’re after for one of the attacking positions?

I would imagine we have missed out on more than him given McCann’s stance on getting targets in early. Not arsed when we sign them personally, just sign the right ones!

That was one of the weirdest videos of all time. Such an odd thing to put out there.

The teaser after the season finished from Grant of him saying we were after an experienced player who is a great character who can score goals.

Is there actually something behind that to say we 'missed out' on McGoldrick? Genuine question.

Wouldn't have expected us to be in for him.

If it’s true, I wouldn’t say it’s an indicator of the type of attacking player he’s going for.
If you look over the last couple of years there’s no real pattern to the style of attacking player Grant has gone for. All a bit random.

Elliot Lee played as a No8. That’s not DM. DM can only really play 35 games a season as well. Class act but he’s certainly not capable of playing 90 minutes 50+ times a season.
