Wheres everyone drinking before game tomorrow?

Anyone know decent pubs they will let away fans in?

And will the police up there have any problems with large groups together?

Mate is a big Newcastle fan and he says you are safe in any of the pubs in the Toon, even in our hoops, the only exception is if you are wearing the Sunderland strip   ;)

Long Bar or Revolution for me opposite the station, there's tonnes of bars within a couple hundred yards of there but them two are cracking places to start off.

Roll on, i for one can't wait!

I'd give Head of Steam a wide berth, not for any particular reason other than I'm not a big fan. Union Rooms is a Wetherspoons and fairly bog standard and cheap in that respect. Was trouble outside there when Sunderland visited, but that's Sunderland. Long bar worth a visit as that's where Michael Caine has his first pint in 'Get Carter.'
The area to the left as you leave central station, around The Center for Life is the Pink Triangle- but if that's what you fancy.  :)
The Vault has a top pre match atmosphere, it's where the Geordie Dancer performs, but it is very much a home pub. But,
in all honesty, and I've been up here 15 years, you can't go far wrong wherever you end up.

I will try Strawberries which is a decent bar apparently - near the ground.

I was told that the \"Labour Club\" has a few away fans in and a bit of jovial banter to boot. Easy to find between Greggs the bakery and the Magic Box (up the side street)from Percy Street

Sorry I've been a while getting back to you, but couldn't log on for some reason. The honest answer is, I'm not sure about all- can't recall seeing many kids in Vault or Sam Jacks pre match but I've probably only been a dozen games in 15 years up here. Plenty of the pubs do let kids in though- unless my friends with kids just leave them outside.
Never taken my two, still a bit young for it- first ground has to be Keepmoat. Anything else just wouldn't be right.
