Another summer approaches, another Nick Motgomery to Rovers rumour. This time courtesy of the Daily Mail via the BBC gossip column.

A)  do we want him?

B)  we seem to be monnows compared to the other parties

C)  anyone who lets their contract run down tends to have another (large) contract in their back pocket

D)   under bosman allowed announce where they are going so whu the secrecy  unless a dutch auction is taking place  in which case we are unlikely to be the winners!

It doesn't, the code for the sunglasses smiley is capital B then close bracket.

As for Montgomery, I'm not sure he'd exactly fit in here would he? I dunno, he just never struck me as a big ball player.

Surely isn't he the type of hard man midfield player we have been looking for.
How many times have we been too nicey nicey and haven't had someone prepared to rough it when needed.
We have some great playmakers but when the going gets tough, who do we have whos prepapered to battle?

Think he would do a good job for us and would say he is same type of player as Wilson, also Sheff Utd fans probably don't really rate him because he doesn't score enough

I like the lad, he give 100% everygame, like to break up play and can get a foot in well thats according to my mate. I would welcome it, but like someone said if it comes to an auction then we are screwed.

How many people on here were saying that Billy Sharp was rubbish and would never score in the championship prior to us signing him on loan? That of course was based on how he was asked to play at Sheff U. I am sure that if Sean is interested in Montgomery then he has seen more than a midfield clogger.
Wonder if he is a mate of Billy and whether that might have an influence on where they are both playing next season....
