Safe standing areas in England?
« on March 14, 2010, 09:47:37 pm by SUSD1 »
Hello,

We are StandUpSitDown, a campaign aiming to get safe standing areas at UK football grounds introduced.

This would have many benefits, both for those who like to sit and for those who would prefer to stand. ( http://www.susd.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?ti... )

We are currently looking for more members to join our forum and back the campaign. We have just started a Facebook group to show the authorities how many people care about these issues. ( http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/group.php?gid=285656877688&ref=... ) If you are interested in the campaign then please join the facebook group.

If you are particularly interested and want to do more to help the campaign, please join us on our forum ( http://www.susd.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/category-view.asp?showall... ). Aside from being useful for the campaign, the forum is also a place to hear other supporters views on fan culture and football in general, as well as generally fighting for fans' rights. The forum is also supported and co-ordinated by the FSF.

Thank You,

SUSD

I thing in this day and age, surely safe standing areas can be provided. I for one would always stand given the choice.
One, you dont block others view when u do stand, and
secondly, if im unlucky enough to be sat next to the best football manager who knows more than sod, i can move rather than fall out with the numpty!!
Oh and thirdly, when eating my pie, i have less chance of spilling it down my top, and more likely to hit the floor, saving any embarrassment later in the day!
and finally, me and mr nudger might burn a few much needed calories if standing

cheers for replying pal, we are looking to assemble any area based on the safe standing model currently in place in the Bundesliga which has shown zero risks of Hillsborugh related tragedies that many have claimed would happen if this was introduced

if you would like to contribute further and perhaps learn more about the cause, then you are gladly invited to check out the forum link in the original post or the link to the facebook group
