Well, we know he wont be coming here. But you wonder how Barnsley could afford him. They get slightly higher crowds than us. Willing to splash the cash probably though.

If the blades dont get promoted and Blackwell goes there's only one place Billy will be going and if wont be Barnsley or us

Whilst is could be hot air from the caller, stranger things have happened.

Barnsley have paid £1.2m for a striker before and the top earners get around 8k p/w. Sharp could fit that bracket.

I think many of the Championship clubs will be keeping an eye on him come the end of the season. Utd are obviously his first choice, but if Blackwell stays, and the money is right, we could definately see him moving outside of Yorkshire.

If Blackwell leaves utd in the summer he will go back to utd and stay at utd.

If Blackwell stays at utd i think Billy will come to us. People seem to think wer can't afford him etc, can i ask why you think that? We agreed a fee last summer so that isn't a problem and while he has been on loan to us we have been paying ALL, yes i repeat that ALL of his wages. Believe me money isn't the issue, Blackwell is the issue.

Whilst I'd love that to be true I dont think we are paying all his wages - SOD stated as much before the game at Brammall Lane. If we're paying all his wages, we didn't we buy him after agreeing a transfer fee?

We are paying all Billys wages. Seth found out after a caller said we were paying 5k of billys wages because he wanted the facts and was told by the club that we are paying all of Billys wages. And i can't see him saying that live on radio if it wasn't true.
It was on FH the other night, can't remember exactly which night it was but you can try and find it for yourself, RS ans Seth in particular won't state things like that unless it's true,

I thought the whole reason he wasn't playing was due to a gentelmens agreement over them still paying his wages? Thats been the noises from the club for the last 6 months.

Because Billy won't sign for us incase Blackwell gets the heave ho. Why do u think in January Billy said he was going nowhere and staying with us and weighing his options up in the summer?

if we are willing to pay this kind of money on wages and we don't get billy in the summer, could we get a cheaper option wages wise,and try and tempt Hooper or even take a gamble on a couple of good league one strikers Rhodes at Huddersfield that guy at gillingham cant think of his name?hope we get billy but there are some other good options out there who would fit into our wage structure,what price would scunny want for Hooper? especially if they went down.
