To Leyton Orient for the rest of the season.  No surprise that he's going really.

Wouldn't surprise me if we didn't bring anyone in.

We're safe and after the last 2 games probably won't make the playoffs. Would a loan signing be a wise investment? Or would SOD put square pegs in round holes or even give a couple of youngsters a go for the sake of 7 games?

Wonder if this is the last we'll see of Spicer? Could be argued he hasn't really kicked on after last year but then he started the season in a deeper role before Oster established himself and never really got chance to play his more advanced role as Shiels started the season so well. Certainly played a big part in last seasons great run though.

It could mean that Fairhurst (if fit) gets his ass on the bench again. Let's hope so anyway.

I wouldn`t either, but this would be an ideal time to bring someone in that we may be making a move for in the summer, a sort of try before you buy thing

Very good point, hadn't realised it was loan deadline day.

I also don't think we'll see anyone in today, suspect Spicer's gone out to cover JET's wages until the end of the season??

Was just going to say, if we extend JET and Mutch I can't see the need to bring anyone else in.

I did wonder whether any more might be going out on loan- maybe one of the 'keepers and either Dumbuya or Fairhurst (to assist with their development).

Spicer's only on loan for a month.  It is almost the end of the season but doesn't quite stretch that far.

I'd sooner have Spicer as back-up than Mutch tbh.

Agreed, to me Mutch has only done one thing good, score against boro other then that not a lot has happened. Spicer was awesome last season, but I think he gets played out of position sometimes which leads to bad performances. He gets put on right wing a lot and he's an attacking central midfielder.

From the BBC site

Quote
Doncaster Rovers midfielder John Spicer has joined League One Leyton Orient on a one-month loan deal.

He is already named in the starting line-up for play-off hopefuls Rovers' trip to Brentford on Saturday.
