His younger brother, John Flowers, played for Rovers. He was in the 68-9 Div 4 Championship side and was in the first Rovers team I watched (69-70). He later played for Port Vale and settled in Stoke where he had a pub. He was married to Maureen Flowers, the darts player, who left him to shack up with Eric Bristow.

Going back to the previous item about Ron/ John Flowers. Didn't Wolves have a scouting network and a nursery club based on Donny? I'm sure that's how Ron Flowers ended up at Molineux.

Edited- just found this about Peter Knowles (who came from Frickley). The Wolves nursery was Wath Wanderers.
