Well now Pikester. Tis strange this. I too have renewed all the season tickets. I too have just got my Blackpool tickets and we are in the process of looking at a weekend break in that there London for a mid summer hols break.

We did it last summer and took in 'Lion King'. It was good, not great, just good. I think I'd like to avoid 'Hairspray' on Mush's advice, although the girls will want that one. A colleague at work told me to avoid 'Chicago' at all costs.

I'm up for any show that anyone can recommended to be honest.

Ps You must have weighed in some right scrap to pay for all that lot. I bet it was a good 2 vans full.

'Les Miserables' is always wonderful. If you don't fancy musicals, 'Woman in Black' will scare the shite out of you, 'Mouse Trap' has been going on forever and is well worth a watch, obviously, 'Grease' and 'Cats' are still going strong, as is 'The Phantom of The Opera', 'History Boys' is top notch - loads down there mateys, just pick one (or a package if you fancy it) that suits, most down there are worth a watch.

Me personally, if I could get a combo of 'Les Mis' on the Saturday (out of season obviously) and 'Woman In Black' on the Sunday for around £50 - £60 I wouldn't turn my nose up at it! Worth every penny!

Lead off the roof`s, manhole covers, copper gas pipes from derelict stadiums, it all adds up, only a couple of nights thieving there  ;)

I didn't really rate Les Mis when I saw it about ten years ago - a bit heavy going and laboured for an evening's entertainment.

The one show I'd recommend everybody sees at some point is Blood Brothers. I must've seen it seven or eight times now and never get bored. I'd quite like to go again while Mel C's playing Mrs. Johnstone - She'll probably do a great job.

I've seen Billy Elliott which was wonderful, and recently on my last trip saw Blood Brothers, which I also loved!  You leave the theater humming the main song, but with tears in your eyes.  But at BB for some reason they moved my seat and I ended up in the middle of a group of kids on a class trip!  But the kids were lovely and told me that it was one Mel B. playing the Mum (who was excellent) and also shared their sweets!  :-)

I played Mickey Johnstone in that around 14 years ago - enjoyed it very much. However I happen to think it's becoming a bit dated now, but it's still very worth a watch.

We've got the Stage version, as opposed to the musical, on at Doncaster Little Theatre later this season - June time can't remember the exact dates - this one is also (like we did with 'Brassed Off' last year) going out to venues around Doncaster after the week in the Theatre.
