Success and failure......
« on April 03, 2010, 09:52:19 pm by Norfolk N Chance »
So for the ones who attended Barnsley and Plymouth games was there a lot of difference?
If Sulli had not saved the point blank save at the foot of his near post against Barnsley would it been a drawn game or even defeat?
Yet I think we played equally as well today but were defeated could Sulli have done better for Plymouth first? Probably, yes  .......
As stated not all about the final result but appreciate what the performance should reap!

Agree Norfolk, the results of most games turn on one or two twists of fortune, and but for the thickness of a post or a lucky rebound might have turned out totally different.

I watched the highlights from the Football League show today (couldnt bring myself to watch it last night) and it confirmed what I thought at the time.

1) We never looked in danger of losing that game until we did.
2) Sulli should have held onto the shot through the crowd
3) Martis lost his man and presented Wright-Phillips with a free header.

At 1-0 up I was 100% sure the points were in the bag, I'd have staked the mortgage on it.

Agree with point 1, but don't for the other 2 - the shot at Sulli was difficult to hold because of the deflection it took on the way through. He should have tried to push it wide, though, if he couldnt catch it, rather than straight back into the danger area. As for BWP's header, Martis wasn't marking him. Don't know who should have been, but if you watch the replay, Martis is on his man in the middle, and only starts to move out when he realises the ball is going over the huddle of players. Maybe O'Connor/Hird should have been on him?
