« on April 05, 2010, 10:00:47 pm by Boycie »
For some reason when logging in to my PC i am now being asked to choose a Web Browser.
There are quite a few to pick from, any-one got any suggestions which is the best?

Ms have just issued an update to Windows which gives you this 'choice' screen. The snag with it is that you can't uninstall it. You've got it for keeps now - unles you do soemhting drastic.

As for which browser, personally, Firefox every time.

Cheers

It's down to European law - Microsoft have been forced to let people in Europe know that there is life outside Internet Explorer and to give them a choice of other browsers.

I use Mozilla Firefox. I don't use anything by Microsoft other than Windows, mainly on principle, but also because Firefox is an excellent browser. Firefox is the most popular browser after Explorer.

If you live on Spacebook or MyFace or summat the kids use today, try Flock.

Its Firefox, but heavily customised with social network integration tools.

I think I'll give Firefox a go. I saw the same pop-up as the OP and assumed it was a potential virus (I never download anything form unsolicited pop-ups!). I'll change my browser when I get home and see if there's any difference.
