Kevin McCabe interview on Radio Dee-dah
« on April 26, 2010, 11:59:56 pm by kittyslass »
My husband was listening to an interview at lunchtime today on dee-dah with Mccabe, and hw was asked if Billy had a future with Blackwell at the blunts. He first of all tried to side-step the question then when asked again said yes, Billy did have a future at Bramhall Lane. Consequently, we're not holding our breaths with regard to Rovers signing Bily during the summer.

Sorry, put this on wrong thread and don't know how to transfer.

Edit : Moved it for you.

I dont know what else he could have said, really.

Billy has a year left on his contract, so he could hardly have said \"Actually, he's finished.  We'll just sit on him and let him rot in the reserves\"

A lot will depend on who they sign, I reckon.  Billy has proved himself at this level, but he will never be a Blackwell type player.  If they sign a couple more strikers in the closed season he will be well down the pecking list, so may request to be transfer listed (or loaned out again).

Avoiding the question the first time. That would be a stalling tactic while he could possibly think off a tactful answer ( I do it all the time, ask the wife). Of course he has a future at Bramall Lane, (until he is sold). I mean an answer that says 'no he doesn't have a future' would be contractually dangerous and would force down the price. I think that it is more likely that Billy will be at the Rovers next year than anywhere else, including Bramall Lane.
