I'm thinking of emigrating, there are too many foreigners here.

Emigrating is not always what it's cracked up to be - as you say you are always the foreigner - even after 30+ years in my case

There's plenty to miss from Blighty....not least a sense of humour

Tip number 1 for any emigrant - learn the language

That being said it is always a case of glass half full or empty - embrace what you find it can be great

So as the great Tom Lehrer once said - 'Life is like a sewer.....what you get out of it depends on what you put into it'

I do so love The Sun. Here's a picture of an eel in case you don't know what one looks like.

It's like when there's a plane crash and they show you a computer generated graphic in three sections.

1) Plane flying in the sky perfectly normally

2) Plane veers off to one side

3) Plane hits ground in a big fireball with bits coming off it

...with the obligatory wavy line connecting graphics 2 and 3.

First time I saw that sort of image, it was a life-changing revelation. I'd never understood what the words \"plane\" and \"crash\" meant before.

EDIT: Mind, be grateful it wasn't The Sport. At the side of the eel, there'd have been a picture of a Chinaman's rectum with a wavy line/arrow thing connecting the former to the latter.
