Agreed. I'm pleased that Locky is staying. He is a good squad player and always does a good job when called upon. I'd say his experience and professionalism is an asset to the squad on the pitch and on the training ground too.

Hopefully Hayts, Oster and Fairhurst will now follow suit and sign new deals.

I wouldn't say it was great news but it's certainly not bad news. If I were to sum it up in a sound it would be \"mmmrrrrgghh\".

100% agree. I'm glad Locky is staying, he's a good squad player and a solid defender. Now I hope the next names through are those three.

Good news. I'm thinking (hoping) that more have already signed IE Oster it's just that they're announcing one a day. Sullivan yesterday, Locky today, another tomorrow?

Would be nice but I doubt it,Im sure JR would have milked a situation like that as much as possible for publicity   .Remember the I will give you A signing a day over Mon-Fri in league one?Mind you SOD may insist on being a bit more covert! :)

We still aren’t really a “established” CCC side, so I think it’s good that we keep good pros like Locky that can do a decent job when required, and the type of player we would need if things went tits up and we ended up back in league one.

It’s a good move IMHO  B)

No side is an established side in any league, you are only as good as your NEXT season, ask the Wendies! Lockwood is a good CH and can teach Martis a thing or two about positioning. I remember having this argument before, a great centre half does not have to be speedy, but he does have to be able to read a game well and get the angles to cut a run off correctly and be able to time a header and a tackle. That is why Bobby Moore was so good, and why Lockwood is a decent CH at our club.

Yep. I'm pleased with this too. He' never let anyone down. Let's not forget not too long ago he was one of our most consistant defenders and was elevated to club captain.

I was so impressed with him when he and Mills withstood that barrage of high balls at the Lane in our victory there.

Injury blighted last season. Hopefully a fit Lockwood will give us some stability. I'd rather have him than his look-a-like, Calamity McShane who's posing as a Premiership defender (was).

Personally delighted Locky has committed his future to us the lad has never let us down, maybe's this will encourage Sam to put pen to paper as he's another versatile lad who always gives of his all

Good.  He's very strong in the air and I feel we missed that in the second half of the season.

Ive never understood this; we only won x amount of games when player y was playing. If there was ever a stat to sway the audience and give a false overall picture, its that ludicrous analysis/stat.

(EDIT) I guess it's the era of (SSN) and trying to fill 24/7 with useless stats?
