Especially after the impression JET got when on loan!!

Emmanuel-Thomas - Doncaster style was ideal

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas says Doncaster Rovers was an ideal place to go on loan because their style of play is similar to Arsenal's.

The versatile 19-year-old has enjoyed a constructive season. As well as making his first-team debut in the FA Cup, he signed a new long-term contract in December and enjoyed temporary spells with Championship sides Blackpool and Doncaster.

His time at the latter proved fruitful for the youngster. In 13 appearances he netted five goals in his new-found forward role.

Speaking exclusively to Arsenal.com after returning to the Gunners, Emmanuel-Thomas explained that Doncaster's style of play made them a perfect club to continue his development with.

\"My first loan [at Blackpool] was really a taster for me,\" he explained.

\"I played sometimes in the midfield, sometimes on the right and sometimes on left.

\"My second loan was much, much better. I was more of a target man up front.

\"I scored five goals for Doncaster and it was going really well, so I want to keep that up.

\"It was a very good club where they played very good football, so it was a good club for me to go to. To know I've left Arsenal for another team who plays good football was good for me.

\"Obviously Arsenal's style is a bit different. It's a bit more high-tempo, shorter and sharper. But they do reflect Arsenal's style of play.\"

The 19-year-old will now take his summer break before reporting back for pre-season when he hopes to make his mark in front of Arsène Wenger.

\"This has been a good season for me,\" he said. \"Hopefully I can continue that next season.

\"I'll have a little break and then return for pre-season where I can make a big impression. Pre-season makes a big difference.\"

This is hidden somewhere in another thread.

I'm glad he enjoyed it; however, if it wasn't for his goals, I think he would have had a different experience as fans were getting a bit restless with him, at one point.

We need to get behind these loan players even if they come across lazy because if they go back to their parent club full of praise for our club, we will have more chance of signing more as we build our relationship with the club.

However if we boo or start to get impatient, it wont bode well with the parent club.

Some people havent got time to wade through all the posts here.

If you aren't uptodate, here, it can take hours to read the full amount of threads that you've missed.

So are you saying check every thread just incase you make the error of typing something that has already been said?

I see your point; however, I and probably others read from where we left off. So I read the oldest through to the new.

And can I just add that the other thread which beholds this article is titled, good news. It hardly makes you think that an article from JET is in there.

So maybe half the problem is some threads have misleading titles?

i don't think it's actually him. is he going to put this as his status:  Jay Emmanuel-Thomas  What a result against peterborough, missed loads of chances though, maybe it's time to play right back in the changing rooms, and have Donny Dog play upfront.

or:

Amazing Club, Amazing Team, And Not Only Amazing But Absolutely Fantastic Fans. ! Every Single One Of Them.
