Another worth a punt thread but just noticed that Will Hoskins will be released from Watford. Decent alternative to Billy?

Jon Harley and Jay DeMerit also released. Harley wouldn't be a bad replacement for Robbo.

When did he last score in the Championship, when did he last score for any team apart from Rotherham. Not in the same class has Billy. Lets not forget 31 goals in league one and 15 goals in Championship this season.

Billy hardly set the Championship alight before he came here did he? A lot of people thought it was a waste of time us signing him when he came!

Will Hoskins scored 15 goals in the league for Rotherham in 2006/7 since then 4 years the most goals he has score scored in the league is 4. Not the same comparison even before Billy came here and not even same comparison but closer to Heffs.

I'm not sure it was \"a lot of people,\" maybe two or three.

I remember there was mostly a lot of excitement about the signing of Sharp. There was a universal feeling that he would perform better with the style of football Rovers play than at Sheff U.

Just a side thought, I'd love DeMerit as a big imposing centre half.

And while we're at it, Danny Graham  ;)

Hoskins has had a series of injuries I believe. I think he's got a dodgy back. SOD has been on his case before and spoke to Aidy Boothroyd (Then Watford manager) about his availability and shortly after he got crocked.

Wouldn't be suprised if he's considered. If Rotherham had achieved promotion I think there would have been a good chance he would have rejoined them.

Given that we need two strikers and that he's on a 'free' and currently at a real crossroads in his career, I think he'd be a more than worthy consideration as one of the strikers we brought in.

Crikey if Hoskins has got a dodgy back that makes us odds on to sign him.
