From as mate who's a claret
« on June 02, 2010, 08:31:39 pm by Branton Rover »
Just had a text from a mate of mine who's a season ticket holder at Turf Moor & he says it's all over their forum that it's a done deal for Billy, basically people we now say thanks for the memories Billy & now now we can all move on.  I know it's not official yet but at least he's not Weeds bound, some comfort in that.

Brett Pitman anyone?

Is their Forum unlike ours and immune from Rumours then?Does it being on Burnley's forum mean its FACT then? Not that Im saying it's not true but you seem to take it has gospel.

I've just had a look on their main forum and are a few threads about the story on SSN of them expressing an interest/having a bid accepted. That is all I could find.

I'd love to be wrong he's a hard-worker & a  awesome finisher, but is it a case of too many eggs in one basket? Sean did say if we do manage to land Billy he's got very little wriggle room left in terms of budget.  Wouldn't it be more practical to sign 2 strikers at less money thus allowing the manager to manage better the resources at his disposal? I hate it when my serious side takes over but I'm sure readers get what I'm saying

It's not a ''started'' deal yet let alone a ''done'' deal. The game hasn't started yet and we're still in it...........Billy decides what, when and where not SSN who are merely linking him to the Clarets because of the Laws connection.
Will Billy choose to be a ''bench warmer'', I very much doubt it given his appetite for the game.
It may well not be us but it will be a team who can moreorless guarantee him a start virtually every week.

Daft move for Billy if he does go there.  Laws is a shit manager who took two team to relegation this season pretty much.

Billy will be a Rover I hope.

Sorry Branton Rover,it was just the way you said \"I know it's not official yet but at least he's not Weeds bound, some comfort in that\" made me think you was believing it true.I thought you would put \"IF it is true at least he will not be weeds bound, some comfort in that.\"

 ;)
