I may be wrong… (as I am only now in the process of buying a house for the first time), but is it possible to go through the entire process of buying/selling a house without finding out the name of the other person?

Could potentially sell to an agent acting on behalf of a footballer.

You can pay cash for a house and why would you need to know the name of who you`ve sold it to?

As a conveyancer, I can confirm that your mate would have signed a contract and a Transfer deed with the name of the Buyer on.  The only way the ultimate buyer remains unknown is where they use a nominee.  That is usually so that nobody knows about the real buyer, in which case they would never have let on that the name on the documents was a nominee, but there would have been a name on there in any event.

Standard contract clause is to the effect that the Seller shall not be bound to sell to anyone else but the party named as Buyer on the contract

Who would not let you?  It`s up to the seller whether they accept cash or not

Im guessing its the lad Kennedy, hes known for months he wont be stopping at Rochdale so he's had time to sell his house, and with the news that he's possibly signed a 3 year deal with us, last week, hes had time to look around for a house and sort it. unless the club have bought the house for him or his agent either way hes been the only player really to have slightly been confirmed to be coming to the rovers at the end of june.

Thing is,he is doing well at spurs so I don't think they will be looking to sell or release him yet and that means the only other option is a loan with us but he would not need to buy a house for that so most likely he is just buying a house in this area for as I said for family/breaks back here.
DonnyRover try and get your mate to keep in touch with him, creep, get pally and then you might get some good gossip from inside the footy world   .

You don't have to believe this ultimate name drop, but I actually sold my last house (in 2001) to Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands - she wanted it for one of her staff and it was within 2km of her main residential palace. She gave power of attorney to someone else but I do have a piece of paper signed by her officially granting the power of attorney.

If you walk into the solicitors with a bag of case you should not be allowed to purchase the house if that is what you mean by \"cash\" as the solicitor could end up being done for money laundering.
\"Cash\" meaning you've the money in your current account and you pay in full by BACS is fine and that is what \"cash\" normally means in house purchases as opposed to needing a mortgage.

As said before it could be a move to be nearer his family but putting 2 & 2 together and getting 5 it maybe also to accommodate a season long loan ?

Didn't rate him personally his 3 appearances against us at the KM but he is young and learning his trade. Hos goal late on in the season will not be forgotten.

Did we get to the bottom of why he joined Peterborough when he was supposed to be coming to us last season ?

Hello guys, David Speedie(W*nker!) had a house in Adwick when he played for Chelsea,I travel to London regularly by train in 1hour 30 mins.

Rose can live in Doncaster and still play in London, also the House might just be an investment, bricks and Mortar are a safer bet than the bank at the moment B)

I went to school with him too, Adwick comp, I used to get sent off in games for kicking the living daylights out of him when we played soccer.Roger Hobson the games master must have sensed he was going to play in the league.

thats why I have such a low opinion of him.

I have met him on numerous occasions since and I am now of the opinion that I should
have pummelled some sense into the little so and so at school but as he was a good foot shorter than me I couldn't be *rsed

You must have been in same year as us then.

You remember Willie (Paul Wilson) ? Plus Graeme Reed, David Hall who also went on to play pro.
