So far nothing has happened to differ from what Billy told us all on radio Sheffield months back. He wants to play for Blades, he doesn't think Blackwell rates him, he thinks he's proved he's worthy of forcing his way in to their team.

I think if Blackwell limits his opportunities then Billy will be off and hopefully we could be the beneficiary.

From the Sheffield Telegraph:

Quote
Meanwhile, Billy Sharp's rejection of a £1m move to Burnley to fight for a place at his beloved Bramall Lane may not be the end of the saga.

The striker will have to do just that because United's acceptance of Burnley's bid - representing a loss of up to £1m on their outlay of two summers ago - suggests he does not figure in Blackwell's initial plans

I for one would love him at the Rovers but we cant let it drag on too much and put all our hopes on another teams player signing for us.  We definitely need a couple of strikers, so hopefully the signings will be in place for the newbies to have a preseason with is.

I also hope Steve Brookers injuries are behind him and we can get him on the pitch again

Me and my Family have season tickets in the west stand next to alot of the players families and sometimes players not playing. Why do some sit in the west and some sit in the East?Anyone know Is it just personal preference or is there a system for issuing complimentary tickets that makes it happen that way?

There could be more twists in the BS saga yet to come.

Apparently 'Let's buy every player and we'll win the league Nottm Forest' are keen to sign Billy if only to stop him scoring every time he plays against them ! :)
However, there's many a true word said in jest  ;)

stop me if i am being too convoluted but.........

if we are reverting to plan B and that is joe garner

we then buy him from forest for £X

forest then take £X and with some prestidigitation turn that in to a concrete unrefusable bid for BS

have we shot ourselves in the foot? :pinch:

smitiai says\"Also Rovers Fans, Don't bet your house on Billy coming to our Yorkshire Club\"so if he is nt coming to our YORKSHIRE club it must be Leeds.

...to be fair, that article doesn't really say much more than what's been posted through various threads on this forum.  I reckon most members of here could have written this - it's mainly speculation and innuendo.

Billy isn't going to the dingles. Nor will he ever go to the dingles.

There is another decision which is waiting to be sorted before anything happens with Billy.

Oh go on then. I'll bite.

What decision?

Whose decision? Sharp/Blackwell/JR/Capt. Birdseye?

Sorry don't mean to dangle the carrot.

I'm trying to keep us all informed without overstepping the mark. Yet I am aware I'm not saying much as well .

Awaiting staffing elsewhere.

Well, that just leaves us with the fact that something is going to happen and the saga may not be at an end.

Blackwell to Leicester?
