I think this clinched it so a big thank you to the
guy who thougt of it  and organised it. May be he could do
another for J Ryan to show our gratitude by way of a present
or something, for the great man

how about raising money towards the youth team and maybe a collection with buckets or something at matchdays, cos i recently saw an article in the free press and this bloke said the academy was good but i've heard its not that good to be honest.

Yep, it was £2500 from the VSC and another £500 from the Supporters Club.

Well done everyone.  As bigal points out, I think the gesture had the desired effect.  Billy knows there is much love for him here.

It was the merging of two idea's, my idea was for us all to pitch in to get something personally as a thankyou to JR, And i think Rob wanted to show the fans intent in giving however small that we are behind him, Sean and the club.

I still think we should get something for JR, something from the fans who have appreciated his efforts over the years. Something that JR can maybe stick on the wall with the rest of his memerobilia.

I'd gladly design something gratis for the big man, unless anyone has a better idea

I was thinking and what would be an amazing touch would be a huge banner that could be placed above the sponsor boards in the South Stand, with a pic of JR on one side and some sort of message next to it.  Fundraise it via the VSC and it would be a great gesture and also brighten up the KMS a bit.

How about money for a flyer in the Free Press? You can get 10,000 colour postcards printed for about £500 (probably less if you shop around)

What about a Anglo-Italian Liverpool style gesture? They have Shankley flags, how about a JR flag?

How about that, join rovers alliance, AND a banner???

Oh and Donate to Youth....i mean we could use it like Crewe do and think of the money the club could be making for bigger signings through it....

Rather than join the Alliance, join the Rovers Lottery.  The rovers see much more of the money from that.
