Another death in Bentley

A man has died after he was the victim of an assault in South Yorkshire.

Brian Wilburn was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary after the incident at a property on The Avenue, Bentley, near Doncaster, at 0550 BST on Sunday.

The 24-year-old died at the hospital on Sunday evening, police said. A post mortem examination will take place on Monday to establish the cause of death.

A 20-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.

Police urged anyone who was in the area on Sunday morning to contact them.
