Has he actually signed a new contract yet?

A few on here seem to be mentioning that he has, although there has been no official confirmation.

Seems strange that he'd be at training and play last night if he hadn't signed, but also it seems strange that they haven't announced anything yet if he has signed.

I can only imagine he has. He's on clubs official website, plays pre-season games, trains with the squad. He must have surely.

With all respect, it was only a friendly against Askern Villa. I didn't go, but I'd imagine that it was one of those games where players just take it easy and start to ease their way back into playing.

Yeah its a strange one. Certainly no official confirmation, his contract would have expired on the 1st of July I believe. If he was just playing with us to maintain fitness without a contract its seriously doubtful whether he'd have been playing in the friendly unless they needed to make up numbers. Then again, looks like ROK had a kickabout too!

Maybe thats why he's wearing a different shirt to the other players!

Well if he has signed and rovers cannot
be bothered to announce it no wonder he looks uninterested

Yes James Hayter has difinately signed.  Spoke with John Ryan last night and he confirmed this.

Also confirmed that Stock is going nowhere despite Southamptons interest.
