I'm going to re-read that post, to see if I missed the salient points.

Sometimes, you just have to read between the lines.

Don't like, very nondescript.

For how excited I was to hear the kit would be made by Nike, we have just been given our pick of the stock kits and not something tailored to our needs, which has been disappointing.

I've always been a fan of the continuity with the home kit, be it the blue and white hoops, or another combination of red/white/black.

i think it looks quite nice... like some of the goalkeeper tops in the past few years and only thing which has put me off buying one is that is would be long sleeved!

Im loving them both! might have to invest in both on the 27th  ;)

WTF happened to the hoops? That's what makes Rovers distinctive. It's their bloody 'brand' for God's sake! It's the symbol of the 'new Rovers' - the post Richardson Rovers. I don't care how good or bad the kit actually is. It hasn't got hoops. That's hwe whole point ffs.

Peronally I'm not overly disappointed by the lack of hoops on the away kit... the red and white hoops are distinctive yes, but the blue and white hoops were only distinctive for being mistaken for Reading or QPR.

I do have one question though, why is it sky blue? Anyone know the reasoning?

I personally see our traditional away colours as being green and white, I could be talked into royal blue and yellow (as they were the clubs original colours), but sky blue or black doesn't seem right to me

I'm with you on that. What makes it equally disturbing is that the new Scunny away kit is.....hooped.

When we got Nike i was warned by a number of friends of clubs who use them not to expect the world. At Vanderell,Carlotto they make the kits you design, at Nike you get a book full of pics and you pick one,end of discusion.

Ive been told they have 3 types of material you can pick from as well (sounds like a pic n mix) :P

You cant please everyone can you, however personaly i think they are all rubbish, the home one has two many stripes for me and being a stubborn old goat if the away one isnt green and white i dont want to know it,maybe they will try and squeeze an extra few quid out with a third kit like they did the other year.lol

Perhaps we can have the Celtic styled away shirt that is hooped. We'd stand out!!

Not too dissimilar to the Scunny away top.

in my opinion, i liked the blue and white away shirt but i remember the shirt they wore against crystal palace, i didn't go to the match but i saw the pictures of the shirts they was auctioning off for NSPCC and i thought they looked pretty good.

Personally I don't give a flying fook what the kit looks like as long as the chaps on the pitch do the biz.

They could be pink shirts with yellow spots for all I care

(well perhaps not  ;) )

As Gok Kwan would say....\"It's all about the confidence\"  :P

Didnt know our distinctive HOME kit had been replaced Bob.

If you are referring to new away kit, then I dont think it necessary to be the same every year.  That would be very boring

PLus I quite like it.  Not the green and yellow or blue  and yellow I'd like but at least it isnt black or makes us look like QPR

God no!!! Mentioned in another thread that my Cov mates will take the piss.

Just like it because it is something different to what we have had before regarding away kits

It's hard to tell looking at the \"highlights\" on Player, but it looks like there are slightly lighter blue hoops on the shirts, so the hoops have been retained, after a fashion. Like many others I had a problem with the fact that the blue and white hoops were like QPR, Reading.
Oh, and Quorn have Nike kit too.

That Manure strip is grotty , I wouldn't be seen dead in it. Personally I like the new away strip but would have preferred the NSPCC green and white poops.
