memories, morals or money?

I was this article last night, and even taking into account the mails lovely unbiased style of reporting..(thats sarcasam btw) it is a story that really saddened me.

up and down the country there are over three hundred families grieving for their young men lost to this dreadful war in Afghanistan... I wonder how many of them would have even for a split second even contemplated selling their lost loved ones medals, uniform and even the shell casing from his funeral to fund amongst other things a cruise to the Med?
