Without a game this week then the players need to work on their finishing and build confidence.
Let’s hope we can bring in one or two players before the 16th.

TBH, we were not too short of winning both games... If we had taken the lead when we were in the ascendancy then both may have had totally different results.  The fact is we didn't and both teams we were playing against seemed to gain confidence from this and it gave them a foothold in the games.  Did we run out of gas, or did we run out of belief?

Either way, I am confident that DM will continue to play the same way and we have to trust and believe that we will turn the corner.... preferably sooner rather than later please Darren......  :scarf:

Genuinely think a CDM now is priority. Fej needs to play week in week out on last night's evidence and he will come good. He got going in pre seasons also I thought he was excellent against Bradford. This was after a run of games to.

Coulda, woulda, soulda, wins you nothing in this game, having steel and the will to overcome adversity and lack of skill compared with the other team wins matches of football, and was on show in the last two games we have played in.
Unfortunately it was Wigan and Oldham that had the right mind set in both games while we wilted like shrinking violets after completely dominating in the first half of both games.

At least some can call it how it is and not get accused of being negative. The last 2 games have been almost a carbon copy of one another and yet some want to just dust it under the carpet. Now, thankfully, the manager has seen fit to question the mental strength of the team, so maybe he believes there actually is something basically wrong.

Maybe DM is onto something there, but it would help if we had one or two additions to sort a few issues out on the pitch.

no where on earth is as cold and wet as the visitors stand at boundary Park

Grimsby when the North wind blows off the Estuary 🤪

York City when it hammers it down with rain on a winters night.

Christ. That just reminded me of when they knocked us out the Carling cup (whatever version it was) the other year when Rob Jones was in charge.

We were absolutely shite & barely worked their keeper.

Lost 0-1.

Sorry to be pedantic mate, but I don't think it was the League Cup(Carling or otherwise), I think it was the same p*sspot cup that we're playing in tonight, which was why I didn't go that night.

I'll take your word for it, SS!

Onto the next one, chaps.

Oldham & cups never really goes well for us, anyway. (other than the FA Cup game couple of seasons back)

Too many nice footballers.

Maybe the manager's too nice.

I'd love it if he started throwing a few teacups about at half time. That would make a few buck their ideas up.

Maybe that is the case. I do think in interviews after games he minces his words. But, I also think hes the type to leave it in the dressing room. That is what i like to believe anyway.

We should in theory steam through the group. 2 league 2 teams and Wolves B team.
