Can somebody tell me how he’s still in a job? Talent identification is clearly not his strong point. The rabble we are stuck with as well.
He should resign if he’s got any dignity
-
He hasn't signed any of these.
-
How do you know? What has Younger been doing? Has he been making suggestions that have been ignored?
-
He hasn't signed any of these.
He was part of the recruitment team who signed most of the players. Let’s see who we bring in, in January when Graham and Copps have been involved
-
There was talk just before Wellens was sacked of more power going to Younger for the recruitment and less from the manager... So I do wonder if Wellens led on most of the recruits.
-
So hes the new scapegoat then?
-
Easy to say that when Richie was not there to answer. Anyway with substantial funding this transfer window we will see who we get.
-
Currently, German, you could just take your pick!
-

What IS substantial !! £ .
Is to buy players or to loan more player or wait until we off load players and Recycle their wages ? Smoke and Mirrors !!

The DFP said a few days ago the budget increases by a fifth.
-
Doesn't take long after an expected defeat for somebody to have a go at summat they could have brought up weeks ago!

Ok .. what does a fifth more got to get us . Central defender , a full back , holding midfielder, a striker (s) .
If a fifth more needs to gets us all that , it beggars the question where has all the money gone , when all we can show us 2nd bottom with the lowest scores in the Efl!!

I hadn’t just watched a bunch of 18 year olds get battered then though, had I? The thought also dawned on me when watching dodoo today that we signed him on a 2 year contract. Younger is the manager of recruitment. I think it’s only right he is challenged. That ok cherub?
-
Bogle offered most up front today.

We have the 14th highest budget, so we're underachieving. The money has gone on shite.
-

He’s the manager of the recruitment team. Are you telling me he’s had zero input then into these signings?
-
Dodoo is the worst striker we've had since being in the football league.
-
Tomi Ameobi and that big lad Bamogo from the Experiment. Not the winger with similar name but the older striker guy.

Bamogo was better than dodoo. Not often players really frustrate me, but dodoo does, it's his lack of press, ability, pace and strength I find frustrating.
-
Can anyone tell me what Hiwula adds to the team?
-
Can anyone tell me what Hiwula adds to the team?
One of the worst players we have owned since we came back into the football league.
Awful first touch, no positional sense, no passion, no technical skill.
We should try our best to offload him and Doodoo as soon as possible.
-

i’ll trump you with Emile Sinclair. All mentioned are, however we dress it up, dross!!
-
That’s a very strong wildcard but I will counter with Curtis Main.
-
Nope they're all better than Dodoo.
-
Bogle offered most up front today.
Offered most what?
You must have been watching on Sky.
-
Shearer or Henry in their pomp would have done nothing up top for us today
-
Bogle offered most up front today.
Again. Bogle is far from perfect, but does anyone now think that the decision to sideline him for 3 months and sign Dodoo on a two year contract was a sensible one?

Not me.
-
There was one moment early in the second half when dodoo was played in down our right hand side, he was several yards closer to the ball than the left back, but still somehow didn’t get to the ball and ended up toe poking it behind.
He is truly woeful
-
The worst two players RW signed are two of the older players who should be leading by example. Hiwiyla and Dodoo.
To be honest on that today they would not get in any National league North team.
They have scored 1 league goal each in 22 games. Absolutely dire.
Cannot control a football let alone have a shot at goal. So not much chance of scoring any.
Best player by a mile was Kyle Knoyle today. He gave it everything. Olowou not far behind. Jones did ok not at fault for any goals and Tommy Rowe tried his best but simply had nothing to work with. Brandon Horton and Matt Smith tried but were out classed.
Ravenhill totally out of his depth and Hasani and Blythe are not ready for the rigours of League 1 football yet. So our midfield was woefully short.
We started today with only 3 players over the age of 22
Seriously what hope did we have with competing with that Sunderland team.
Without Anderson, John, Bostock, Galbraith, Close, Taylor and Ferji we simply are not competitive as a group of players in this league.
With all those players fit and playing regularly then we are a team who should finish around 12th to 16th.
Without all 6 we are a bottom 4 team as is being shown. In fact bottom 2 if not bottom.
4 quality reinforcements required right now or we are going down with a whimper even if Guardiola is our new manager.
4 is the bare minimum. Think we need 6.
Centre back, left back 2 midfielders, 2 strikers, one who can play wide.
Ideally a goalkeeping coach who is still young enough to play and put Jones under pressure for his position.
Whoever is going to get the managers job he has got one hell of a job and without the new additions he has not got a prayer.
This team is barely top half National league standard at present.
Good luck whoever gets the job. Your going to need more than luck.

Thats the thing that annoys me the most cos that is not about ability. It’s about effort and desire. He’s got the heart of a pea and doesn’t want to get hurt, just like his mate Jordy.
-
I say barely top half National League standard well let’s put it this way does anyone think that 2002/03 team would not beat this team quite comfortably.
-
Can anyone tell me what Hiwula adds to the team?
Needs 40 yards of space to control the ball
-
Bogle offered most up front today.
Bogle got his head on the ball more times in his first 5 mins than Dodoo did for 50 mins
-

He is awful Filo. Worse than Dodoo imo total lack of effort and commitment to the cause. A heart the size of a spider.
If was me I would be embarrassed to collect my wages.
When he was signed I thought RW may have got a very good platpyer as he was excellent at Coventry.
Now I know why Coventry got rid.
Dodoo simply does not have the ability for this league. Hiwula does have the ability but just can’t be bothered to work up a sweat. No excuse for that at all. If he is not fit then don’t play him. So assume he is fit.
-

He cannot jump to head a ball. That’s why.

It was the poorest Rovers display I've seen Campsall probably since your Conference days .
That said you were missing quite a few players and up against one of the best sides in the league who look to have finally found a winning formula to get out of league one at long last .
Sunderland had far too much for you all over the park .
The thing that would have disappointed me was nobody got in the faces of the Sunderland players and tried to make life as difficult as possible for them .
You were way too easy to play against .
If Rovers are to have any chance of getting out of this you need to be more physical and dare I say horrible .
I know it's not the Rovers way but with the position you are in you have to start getting about teams and put it about far more .
-
Thing is it’s all well cursing our luck with injuries but is it just luck. I don’t know the exact number of games missed but The same players always seem to be injured. No good having good quality players if there constantly on the treatment table. Sadly if there not value for money they also need replacing.
-
Agree tyke and that's why we need a manager that knows how to battle and stay up,so hopefully we won't gamble on gm

It's a combination of an injured list on the scale of the first day of the Somme, and the worst year of recruitment for 25 years.

Totally lacking any players capable of that. No leaders no ball winners and very little experience of this league with far too many of our players.

Absolutely it is as simple as that.
The recruitment from RW and Younger if he was responsible was beyond diabolical
If the budget was 14th in the league why were we signing players either not good enough for the National league or players that simply have the heart of a beetle.

I've seen us get out of situations like Rovers are in Campsall and it's always come down to having someone who can galvanise the squad with a band of brothers mentality which is why we aren't getting out of it either this season .
All buying in to it and battling , scraping and kicking your way to safety if you have to .
As you say sometimes it's just not there within a group .

He needs sacking

There is no manager in the world that would be able to get that starting 11 to beat teams of the quality of Sunderland. They never broke sweat.
Now get our entire injured players playing week in week out then yes we have a chance, a good one.
But we lack a real leader on the park and a proper hard man in midfield. Even with all those 7 players in the team. Not a dirty player just someone who can show the opposition they are not going to waltz through our defences.

How am I taking it personally. I just said in your opinion. How is that taking it personally. As you said the forum is for opinions and mine was that Knoyle was MOM.
We can choose 11 different ones if we want.
PS He said Smith was by far and away the M O M and not imo he was.
It was a statement of fact.
Well it is not a fact as you say ravenrover it is a opinion so I said, in your opinion. Just to clarify ok.
No problem. I post in peace.
-
Smith was by far and away man of the match today. Anyone who’s ever play football knows that. He’s the only one get showed for the ball or had any close what to do on the ball when he had it. I brought a Leeds supporting mate today and he couldn’t believe how bad we were.
-
It's how it looked to me Camps, as you and I say all about opinions
-
Campsall, it was a statement of my opinion. It shouldn't be necessary when making a statement of what is obviously opinion to qualify it as such. If someone gives an opinion and claims it to be 'FACT' then that deserves to be called out.
-
Well I have been called out for having an opinion and not putting IMO
So now I do.
Look it is not important. :)
