Title: If there were no ‘nukes’.
Post by: Colin C No.3 on March 01, 2022, 05:38:12 pm
If wars were still fought with ‘conventional weapons’, would you (personally) want NATO to send troops into Ukraine?

I feel it is the horrifying thought (certainty) that Putin would start a Nuclear War on the first pretext that the ‘West’ gave him that stops us from ‘engaging’ his army militarily. But would The States be prepared to lose soldiers in what would be essentially be another ‘European War’?

Just wondering on peoples thoughts given that scenario.

That column of armour rolling down that road would not exist. The Yanks love a Turkey shoot.

That column apparently has n’t moved in the last 24 hours, running out of supplies, or not really wanting  to go into battle?

Both, you would hope.

Or they have been placed on standby pending an artillery and missile pounding of Kyiv, prior to going in to sweep through with ground troops.
The Russians have an MLRS system not dissimilar to one Uk forces have.
It deploys a barrage of rockets that quite literally obliterates a whole square kilometre at a time.

Why should we be surprised?

He's obliterated Grozny.

He's obliterated Aleppo.

There's a fascist in here who applauded those acts by the way.

Why shouldn't we expect Putin to obliterate Kyiv?

He has only one redeeming feature to the Russian people. He shows how strong Russia is and how it can smack down weaker upstarts. Of course he's going to do this to Kyiv and Kharkhiv.

there's is a flickering light ................ although this war maybe easier due to it's proximity the world didn't really punish russia for previous wars, not like this.
