Game on..
-
Owt doing?
-
no emmanuel , can we read anything into this or is he injured
-
Good afternoon everyone.
Come on Rovers.
-
Youuu Reddddss!
-
The last three times I started the match day thread we lost all three (Walsall, Wimbledon, Port Vale), and we drew the last three before that. Six without a win, I was desperate not to start the thread today  :scarf:
Now we have two. COYR :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:
-
Clifton and Gibson have had goes. Come on lads, some accuracy please
-
I think I used to be quite lucky at starting threads back in SO’D times, so here goes.
I was also the first to title us as TLOD if that’s worth owt?

This was my only attempt at starting a thread. If we lose, I promise not to do it again
-
Tom Biltciffe doing his best to make a decent commentary of what sounds a bit dull so far.
-
The noise of reporting from this game is deafening. Is it really that crap?
-
Seems like it must be
-
Wouldnt be suprised if we get a red card in this.
Lots of niggling fouls and ref already had a word
-
PV behind at Grimsby.
-
0:1
-

Give over, the ref is having a good game. After 4 fouls from Harry Clifton he called Bailey over and warned him. Sensibe refereeing as most in this league would have given him a yellow.
-
Guuuuu onnn!!!
-
Get in! Gibbo
-
Gibson scores surprise surprise
Did he cut in and hit it with left foot
-
Sounds like a good goal by Gibson
-
About time! He's tried often enough
-
Cross from the right and he hit it on the volley with his left foot.
-
Crews losing at Franchise 1-0.
-

Excellent post EfD! I quite agree!
-
We’re up to 2nd, Walsall being held 0-0 by Newport.

Did i say anything about the ref not having a good game?????
I agree the ref has been good.
We have had the foul count totting up with niggly fouls. Those will eventually come to a red. All it takes is for a mis timed clifton foul now
-
TSL and Oluwo playing a blinder. Getting every job they should be doing done and done well. Very sloppy otherwise. Think Molly is wearing Crocs
-
Much more purpose to our forward play, & a really good finish from Gibson, well done lads more of the same 2nd half.
-
0:1
We needed that.
Also poor defending by their rb , got under ball , maybe pinged off a divot but , who cares ?
JG pounced and took it well
-
Important we concentrate start of 2nd half
-
Great finish from Gibson.
Let’s hope he finally kicks on from this!!

I hope that the goal gives Gibson a bit of confidence and that he gets his head into gear now.
-
Sounds like we’re playing a little bit better now anyway.
-
F**ksake!
-
1-1.
-

All the second half.!
-
I hope that the goal gives Gibson a bit of confidence and that he gets his head into gear now.
By my calculations, his next good game will be Saturday 15th March away at Crewe.
I'm (half) joking btw
Re-adjusting this to Saturday 29th March at home vs Carlisle.
-
Another goal conceded straight after half time. This is a worrying trend.
-
Clifton gave up chasing their player far too easily. Maxwell out of position.
-
Not a pitch to try to play out from the back. Clifton with good shot on goal.just conceded to them with well taken goal player left with open space to shoot.
-
Another goal conceded straight after half time. This is a worrying trend.
And awful defending.
-
Was their first shot on target...
-
McGrath has had a shocker there stepping out like that. Keeper should have saved that
-
Sharp, Kelly and Fleming warming up..
-
Fantastic save (apparently) by the home keeper to deny Ironside a goal.
-
Brilliant save from Colchester keeper from Ironside header, and a counter from Colchester is very dangerous
-
Good freekick from Gibson well saved, McGrath hits post with rebound but may have been offside
-
That's another stat I'd like to see; how often a shot on goal results in a goal against us. I might be wrong but if feels like the ratio is quite high.
-
We are in the boss seat according to Bet 365
-
Four teams currently on 37 points.
-
Today so far 7 shots on target 1 goal
Colchester 1 shot on target 1 goal
-
Moly has been shite again.
Running down blind alleys and losing the ball nearly every time.
-
Four teams currently on 37 points.
Now back to three. Today's live table is crazy, so many teams clumped together.

We are playing with 10 men. FFS get Molyneux off.

TSL has a 61.3% save rate according to FBRef, 4th lowest in League Two.

Back to four. Notts County gone back ahead.

Yep.
Chesterfield were 2nd for ten minutes and now they are 9th.

Only three points separate second down to tenth place.

That's interesting and backs up my thoughts. Thanks.
-
Ref is a massive homer, but we seem hell bent on giving the ball away all the time
-
Rovers subs:
Sharp and Hurst on.
Molyneux and Ironside off.
-
We need to find a winner, time for the subs to make a difference.

Prevented goals is usually a slightly better judge TBF, expected goals against - goals conceded. He's third bottom with that and apparently should have conceded 5.8 goals less prior to today.

Gibson sent off after repositioning the ball at a free kick.
-
What a f**king joke
-
Daft t**t
-
I've just been looking at our Keepers stats....

-
Commentator says he has never seen such a ridiculous decision.
Let’s hope we don’t lose this now.
-
He didn't just reposition the ball, he picked the spray up off the floor and dolloped it in a different area. Utter utter bell. His fault nobody else's
-
A disgrace from gibson
-
What a f**king dope
-
Daft t**t
Tomlin-esque
-
I take it all back. What a joke of a referee.

Brilliant save by TSL.
Rovers to bring on two defenders to try a see the game out.

A ridiculous decision by the referee?…or by Gibson?
-
Anderson and Fleming on for Broadbent and Maxwell.
-
If he's done that, he's thicker than I thought he was.
-
Petty by Durkin. The bell…
-

A ridiculous decision by the referee?…or by Gibson?
I assume he meant by the ref because he didn’t mention Gibson moving the spray on the pitch.
-
Hope he gets his wages pulled and spends some time on the bench....
-
Four minutes of add on time.
-
Wouldnt be suprised if we get a red card in this.
Lots of niggling fouls and ref already had a word
Stand by my statement
-
Walsall winning with a late goal and now twelve points clear.

I’ll go for Gibson as the thicko!

We crying out for a Matty Craig

So will I after hearing what he has done.
Colchester hit the post with the last kick of the game.
1-1 draw.
-
Silly by both Gibson and the ref. Molly has been atrocious again, as has Bailey.
-
Finished 1:1 BTW
-
Could easily have lost that in the dying seconds. Bishop slamming the post with a fierce drive.
-
Oh well, see you all at the game on Wednesday.
-
Still 3rd, Notts up to 2nd, 4 teams on 37 points.
-
Take a point under the circumstances. Hard work on a crappy surface.
-
So we end the year in the top three.
Plenty to build on for 2025.
-
Strange, was watching the bet365 graphic and it said dangerous attack and then a Colchester goal in the 96 minute….maybe they jumped the gun when it hit the post
-
For me the ref was itching to give colchester the advantage at every tackle, how Ironside never got a free kick for the blatent push on the edge of the area I’ll never know
-

Joe hardly ever gets a free kick in his favour.
We know he gives as good as he gets but no way does he ever get his fair share of free kicks, refs more often than not give them against him.
-
Apart from joe and teddy, the rest of the team were poor today.
Yes the pitch wasnt the best but we need to adapt, not just keep passing the ball short all the time. Change it up
-
Walsall winning with a late goal and now twelve points clear.
Finishing the year with that lead is a fantastic achievement from them.
-
McGrath has had a shocker there stepping out like that. Keeper should have saved that
Stepped in leaving their wide player completely free.

Gibson, absolute idiot, didn't even look at McCann on his way off.
-

Not his biggest fan but I thought Broadbent was excellent today. Break up play good, & can only remember him giving the ball away once.

Look back at their goal, Olowu comes across the the lad that crosses it, the goal scorer meanwhile overtakes Broadbent into space, Broadbent never broke from his gentle jog back, he should have covered where Olowu had run from

That gentle jog is actually broadbents sprint.
I actually dont mind george but he is one of the slowest midfielders i have seen to the point that i think Tomlin was more mobile than him in his spell here
