Tonight’s team, kick off delayed 10 minutes due to an incident on the pitch
COYR
-
Incident on the pitch sounds serious, what's happened?
-
All I have seen re the incident is John Fleck, a sub, has been changed so assuming something has happened to him
COYR
-
Ten minute delay to kickoff someone off
-
John Fleck has been taken to hospital after becoming ill
COYR
-
John Fleck collapsed in warm up. Sounds like he had some sort of a fit. Taken to hospital as a precaution.
-
Game stopped after five minutes.
Anyone know why?
-
Spectator medical incident
-
Sounds like a medical attention in the crowd beat me to it DU
-
Bugger
-
1-0 Chesterfield
-
B*LL*X - their first attack of the match 1-0
-
Balls. Hope we can get on top. Would be a shame to end the run against these.
-
TSL seemed to in the floor before their player hit the shot.
-
B*LL*X - their first attack of the match 1-0
And TSL slipped before the lad shot! How’s your luck Rovers
-
Looked like teddy did slip, but could be poor from him and Sterry.
-
TSL slipped just before he shot
-
Game should have been abandoned when fleck went off unless we win then fine play on
-
Who was telling us about Sterry's pace only this week? Looked like he was standing still when the chessie player went past him
-
Looked to me that TSL lost his footing when going down to the shot.
-
Olowu pulled out of position and Sterry nowhere near quick enough to cover. Should still have been saved, though. Street’s also fallen over, dodgy pitch?
-
Now a great run from Sterry to give Streete a chance
-
Sterry creates chance for Street - over the bar
-
Another stoppage in play on 17mins.
Someone else poorly?
-
Another stoppage in play on 17mins.
Someone else poorly?
Chesterfield player tying his shoelaces
-
TSL pulled to the floor and the ref spots it and gives us a free kick.
Unusual for a ref to do that.
-
Having watched the replay, it looks like Sterry thinks the ball is going out, and is only jogging until he realised.
-
Rovers seem to be in charge, it is coming.
-
Chants of yorkshire.
,yorkshire
So neanderthal. Are we all sufc, swfc, Barnsley,, rotherscun,Halifax,Bradford,York Huddersfield.
Never understood that chant.
-
7 shots all off target now! COYR!!!!!
-

Never understood that chant.
It’s because we are a Yorkshire club playing a club which isn’t from Yorkshire.
-
It’s all Rovers, we need to make this dominance count with goals.
-
We are playing really well.
-
TSL pulled to the floor and the ref spots it and gives us a free kick.
Unusual for a ref to do that.
Even Ironside has won a free kick
-
2-0 :turd:
-
Good grief 2-0
-
Are we,?
-
2-0 down away from home, blown it!
-
Defence shocking so far
-
It’s all Rovers, we need to make this dominance count with goals.
we know what happens next don't we
-
Had to believe we are losing.
-
Up hill struggle now ffs
Playing like this will be easy for grant to drop any of them
-
Teddy is having a mare! They’ve only had. 2 shots?
-
Had to believe we are losing.
Not really no shots on target won't score if we don't get it on target
-
I think we have been playing well...
-
We’ve had enough chances to be 4-2, instead we are 2-0 down. We need to finish better. Next goal will become crucial.
-
How the hell did we not score there
-
We have been playing well but some poor stuff is costing us. Moly’s miss an absolute sitter.
-
It's gonna be 1 of those nights
-
Molly didnt miss a sitter. He hit the target twice and the keeper had good reactions. Should of maybe scored, but saying he missed sounds like he didnt do the basic thing and hit the target
The 2nd bounced up at him on his weaker foot.
-
Yes by far the better team and more chances, but we have been poor at the back, two people who have been rocks too, in owolu and Sterry, Teddy may be at fault for the first but not the second.
-
2-1
Molly pouncing on a loose ball to fire home.
-
Getttinnn
-
That's given us a lifeline.
-

He was too casual. It was a great opportunity with the keeper on the floor.
Made up for it!
-
Get Molly off, he’s broke a rib or two I think
-
Get in molly
-
Back in it.
-
It's gonna be 1 of those nights
-
Scored at the right time!! Build from there.
-
A good game for the neutral although there will be few of those in the ground.
-
Get Molly off, he’s broke a rib or two I think
He looks in pain. All from the reckless challenge early on.
-

did he challenge or was he challenged?
-
Good time to score right before HT. I think the Ht talk will be keen doing what you are doing, more goals will come.
-
He was on the ball, idler, he was fouled
-
He was on the ball, idler, he was fouled
Thanks pies.

did he challenge or was he challenged?
challenge on him resulting in a yellow for the chesterfueld player
-
How are we losing 2-1 in a game where we should be streets in front?
-
Hope they can keep Molly going for another 30 minutes or so then pull him off
-
It was a foul on Molly, but I think the rib injury part was accidental as Molly fell on the chesterfield players elbow. Doesn’t happen without the foul though.
-
At least the ref saw it then. Hope he can carry on.
-
If we keep up the intensity we can still win this.
At 2-1 we are well in the game.
-
It's a bit dodgy to be playing contact sport with broken ribs, he could damage lungs. Put Clifton on for the second half.
-
There was a good save by TSL before our goal - Got down well to an effort by Olakigbe. Players seem to be sliiping a lot... change of boots at half time....?
-
Hope we can equalize early in 2nd half, then go on and win the game.
-
Did it or didn’t it cross the line

COYR
-
It definitely hit the net.
-

Yea it rippled the net
COYR
-
He hasn’t broken his ribs, he wouldn’t be able to keep running the way he is if he had
-
Defence looks shaky tonight.
-
Ripped apart there 3-1
-
3-1 They are good on the break :crying:
-
No chance now, the fourth had to be ours if we were to win.
-
They’re doing a Donny on us
-
I can't believe we didn't have anybody anywhere near in a position to read that ball out from near the corner
-
TSL made that far too easy for that one. Came out too early and left and easy finish. Stay on his line and Jay might just have got back enough on him to block it or put him off
-
The difference, Chesterfield 5 shots 4 on target. Rovers 16 shots 3 on target
-
McGrath’s positioning at times leaves a bit to be desired. Maybe it’s a lack of protection in midfield but he quite often ends up in no man’s land.
Not really got going this half and typical that a rare foray into the box is punished.
-
May as well get players off that grant wants to play Vs palace
-
4-1 We are being run ragged down the flanks.
-
Now 6 shots 5 on target. Dead loss
-
I can't believe we didn't have anybody anywhere near in a position to read that ball out from near the corner
There was no one to support Sterry who covered their player into the r/h corner, when the ball was passed out it was a clear run for them to our goal area
-
Jesus :-(
-
f**kin defence asleep tonight.
Are they all thinking of the palace game.
-
Could do with a rightback in this team
-
Sterry is and TSL having a nightmare
-
I hope they aren't thinking about Palace and getting this sort of result! They would be running up a cricket score!
-

No keeper would stay on his line in that situation.
-
FFS nothing positive come out of this game
-
It's very open play and free flowing football but they are better at it.
-
Midfield is mainly to blame 2nd half for not tracking bavk quick enough
-
Well thats chesterfield getting 5 tonught. Paddy madden on and gonna get is usual goal against the rovers
-
Maxwell and McGrath having a mare
-

Yeah that's what I meant... nobody even tried to run over to support him. Like they were just expecting it to get lumped out.
-
And now Madden is coming on to get his customary goal against us.
-

Absolutley baffles me how TSL getting criticised for that 3rd goal, the defence parted like the red sea in front of him
-
Of the 16 shots that Rovers have had in this game there is not one from our "striker" Ironside. Just saying.....
-
The positive is we are the better team and are creating chances, Joes Ironside has been poor tonight though, he concentrates that hard in fighting the man, that he forgets the object ball! street not much better either, but is a willing runner.
-
Maxwell and McGrath having a mare
add Ironside and Street to them.
-
Bit of a shambles tonight. Afraid our defence is wide open.still time to make score look better. McGrath looking poor.
-
5 changes for Rovers?
-

Workrate 100%. But other than that, he doesn’t cut it for me.
-
5 changes for Rovers?
How on earth has Ironside managed not to be subbed?
-

How on earth has Ironside managed not to be subbed?
It would have been good to have him at Queens Park and Hurst still here.

Are you for real???
-
This is utter garbage
-
We've had an off day.
Back we go on monday
-
The doom and gloom brigade will be out in force tonight!
-
Big response needed on Monday
-
The doom and gloom brigade will be out in force tonight!
They already are
-
84 minutes Ironside has a shot, (off target)
-
Come on,big chant of Yorkshire.
That will work,or confuse half the fans/players
-
I still think we’ve played well and created so many chances but we have to credit chesterfield they have been ruthless in the break, and unlike at the eco, the ref hasn’t helped them this time.
-
One of those games. Score flatters them.
-
Chesterfield have done a job
-
It is all in the execution, they made the most of what they had, Rovers have not. No doubt Rovers are a superior side, but that cutting edge is not there still. Very frustrating.
-
I’d rather be in our league position than theirs.
-
84 minutes Ironside has a shot, (off target)
Good job we have billy on now eh.
4 yards out. Chesterfields loudest cheer there
-
Sharp’s been getting non-stop stick since coming on and obliged by putting one straight over the bar from 6 yards out. Just not our night.
-
5-2
-
McGrath has had an absolute stinker tonight.
-
Bit of a reality check tonight
-
We go again and forget about toady. Shocking
-
Thank god it’s over. Can’t believe they’ve done the double on us :-(
-
It’s inevitable we will lose games but the manner in which we have conceded 5 is worrying..
-
Defence a shambles tonight, but having said that we created enough chances to score a hat full
-
I blame effin livestream! We was at 2_1 I lost the link when I got it back Chessie had sneaked in 3 Goals!
-
Defence a shambles tonight, but having said that we created enough chances to score a hat full
Not helped by a midfield that decided they fancied all out attack tonight and leave the defenders wide open
-
Not good that. That’s all I want to say
-
I can only pick out Mollly and Crew for decent performances, Gibson looked bright too, but the rest were full of mistakes or ill discipline and it cost us.
I thought the ref was actually decent?
-
One bad night, but would be giving Maxwell a rest
-
They must wish they could play us every week
-
TSL had a nightmare all game. Both full backs were poor & Street looked lost.
Subs didn’t work either.
Did anything go right?
-
The strange thing is that if we had scored the first goal in either half I think we would have won.
We didn't deserve anything because of our defensive mistakes, and our finishing.
Grimsby is a more important game than the Palace one
Edit: I know not everyone likes XG, but we had an XG of 2.13 tonight to Chesterfield 1.83
i.e. in general we didn't take our chances, they did

Agree about Monday's game and Molly looked sore during play after the foul and could be rested.
-
Mad though. If olowu and Sharp score those sitters and it could have been 4-4. Chesterfield quick on the counter all night and worth their win
-

He looked more comfortable in the second half and played the whole game.
He has four days to recover so I would bank on him playing on Monday.

There is no way molly is letting grant rest him against a premier league side.
If grant does then he risks upsetting our 1 player who on current form could drag us out of this awful league
-

Not really. Olowu scores when 4-1 down to make it 4-2. Then the sharp chance followed by our actual goal would never of happened.

I would think it would be up to the club doctor Thorney and the extent of any injury

Bailey played okay!

Now that conclusion needs some explanation given how the two sides performed.
