I still think we’ve played well and created so many chances but we have to credit chesterfield they have been ruthless in the break, and unlike at the eco, the ref hasn’t helped them this time.

One of those games. Score flatters them.

It is all in the execution, they made the most of what they had, Rovers have not. No doubt Rovers are a superior side, but that cutting edge is not there still. Very frustrating.

I’d rather be in our league position than theirs.

Sharp’s been getting non-stop stick since coming on and obliged by putting one straight over the bar from 6 yards out. Just not our night.

It’s inevitable we will lose games but the manner in which we have conceded 5 is worrying..

Defence a shambles tonight, but having said that we created enough chances to score a hat full

Not helped by a midfield that decided they fancied all out attack tonight and leave the defenders wide open

I can only pick out Mollly and Crew for decent performances, Gibson looked bright too, but the rest were full of mistakes or ill discipline and it cost us.

I thought the ref was actually decent?

TSL had a nightmare all game. Both full backs were poor & Street looked lost.

Subs didn’t work either.

Did anything go right?

The strange thing is that if we had scored the first goal in either half I think we would have won.

We didn't deserve anything because of our defensive mistakes, and our finishing.

Grimsby is a more important game than the Palace one

Edit: I know not everyone likes XG, but we had an XG of 2.13 tonight to Chesterfield 1.83

i.e. in general we didn't take our chances, they did

Agree about Monday's game and Molly looked sore during play after the foul and could be rested.

Mad though. If olowu and Sharp score those sitters and it could have been 4-4. Chesterfield quick on the counter all night and worth their win

He looked more comfortable in the second half and played the whole game.
He has four days to recover so I would bank on him playing on Monday.

There is no way molly is letting grant rest him against a premier league side.

If grant does then he risks upsetting our 1 player who on current form could drag us out of this awful league

Not really. Olowu scores when 4-1 down to make it 4-2. Then the sharp chance followed by our actual goal would never of happened.
