Doors are open, lines are clean, monkey nuts restocked..
I'm nervous.
Come on you redzzzzzz
Be buzzing for three points
-
I've not been this excited about going to a Rovers match since Notts County away last season.

Me too Rob.
It seems an age ago doesn’t it.

Me too, hope i don't get covered in red pyro dust again though
-
Does anyone deliver from the bar?
-
Watching at home in Madeira. Let’s hope there are no issues with the video streaming. Come on Rovers!!
-
Excited about seeing a new look front line
-
Does anyone deliver from the bar?
Can't get a cannula and a bag of John Smiths? all the best Filo.
-
That was a let off
-
Big chance for Exeter which they fluffed. Came from a ball behind Pearson.
-
Jesus that was close! Pearson has the turning circle of the QE2!
-
Hope you've had,or having a good summer. It's good to be back, isn't it?
-
Our midfield is too much the same and is creating nothing
-
Sorry late getting in! Have I missed much?
-
Who is the Rovers’ comms summariser?
-
Who is the co comm?
-
Pearson block after an exeter free kick bounced off our own xbar
-
Our midfield is too much the same and is creating nothing
Agreed. Clifton being the more advanced of the three doesn't convince me. Works hard off the ball, but doesn't do enough in possession.
-
Sterry looked out cold there. Won't be able to continue and could be out for a couple of weeks.
Nasty collision on the replay. Hope he's back soon.
-
Clash of heads with their keeper
-
Looked on the screen like a fractured cheek bone.
-
Have they really got a player called Sunny Cox?
-
Feel the ref has given Exeter a few cheap fouls recently
-

he was shite last year. Nothing is gonna change a league up. Flabbergasted he’s anywhere near the squad.
-
Middleton looks like the pick of the new boys for me
-
Middleton looking good on the left with crosses in across the box
-
Hopefully the bench can add something, Middleton and Moly look good but there’s nowt in the middle
-
Hanlan was looking for that.
-
Middleton looks class. 3 or 4 excellent deliveries so far.
-
Summary:
TLT will entertain but give me a coronary
Pearson is too slow
Middleton looks good
We have no creative spark in midfield and a lack of pace
-
A good half with crisp passing, a few scares at the back but I reckon we edged it with some good forward moves.
-
If Middleton keeps whipping balls in like that we're going to need someone to get on the end of them. Is Hanlan the man? I'll reserve judgement but he has to do more than that first half for me.
-
Unsure on Hanlan. Early days but doesn’t look to be the handful we were promised. They are sitting back a lot which never helps us
Pearson is good in the air but going to be a liability overall. Might as well have kept Wood or Anderson. Think the younger lads will earn their place eventually
-
Ajayi for Clifton could be an interesting sub at some point in the second half.
-
Ironside would be begging for these crosses from Middleton!!
-
Ajayi for Clifton could be an interesting sub at some point in the second half.
It's an obvious change, but I don't get the hate for Clifton. He's had our best chance (half a yard wide with the glancing header) and made a really nice turn but was fouled by their player (should have been a yellow).
-
Middleton looks good. He can cross with either foot and only seems to need an inch of space to put a decent ball in.
We are solid if a little uninspiring otherwise.
-
Anyone going to comment on Molyneux's passing? Obviously still recovering from the Sal (I think his right foot may still physically be in the Sal).
-
Clifton does well imo don’t get the hate. Only one to actually get on the end of a cross too. He puts some work in so is usually ready for a change at 60min.
-
I think some of the first half comments are a little harsh. We are best team by some way. Middleton has delivered some quality crosses. We need someone on the end of them! Exeter sitting and have come for a point. Up to us to find a way.
-
Not sure on the negativity, it's a typical 1st match of the season where neither team wants to lose.
The game wont open up until 65-70 minutes.
-
Confirmed as a concussion sub, so we still have 5 subs. Exeter have 6.
-
Hoden on the mic with Barry Miller, good commentary.
-
Commentary on sky poor.
-
I don’t think I was being negative just giving a honest opinion, we’ve played some neat stuff but we haven’t made their keeper work anymore than they have TLT
-
Middleton looking very good. Hanlan not really in the game yet. Time for Sharp?
-
Hanlan looks like he is probably good in training...
-
Sharp on for Hanlon
-
That must be it you got it right.
-
Ajayi on for Clifton too.
-

R.E Pearson,I thought the same about Anderson and Wood when they first joined us,it took alot a games for them to prove me wrong,he is slow but you dont play as many games at the level he has without been good enough,as the game has progressed,he has done some decent forward passes and his positioning been spot on and seems to have a good footballing brain,I'm hopeful he will become just as much a defensive kingpin for us this season than Big Tom And Woody
-
He can organise the defensive line but he would be a real worry against someone with pace
-

there’s no hate. That’s a strong word. Just an observation of a poor footballer for league 1 standards. It’s not his fault.
-

True, but hopefully GM will adapt the team when needed,we have Grehan and McGrath to utilise too.
-
Commentary on sky poor.
The lass is OK but just really reciting facts and figures - not really involving the listener or getting excited....
I switched on Gillette Soccer Saturday only to find the vast majority of ground reporters are women also - have to say I don't really understand the obsession..
-
How did that not go in - fabulous block by Exeter defender
-
Hit straight at the defender. Got to do better.
-
Poor attempt, composure needed
-
Reminded me a bit of that JT miss against Harrogate on the opening day a couple of years ago. Any sort of composure and both would have been a goal.
-
Rovers penalty!
-
penalty
-
Mols scores!
-
Never a pen that - but we'll take it....
-
Never a penalty but we'll take it.
-
6 minutes extra time
-
BBC says it was handball.
-
Definite handball, could see it from the South Stand, the fact the Exeter player who handled it said nothing but hung his head told all you needed to know
-
BBC says it was handball.
Watched it a few times and maybe I'm missing it, but I can't see any handball..
-
I think it brushed his hand at most. If his hand wasn't so high up, such an inconsequential level of contact probably wouldn't be penalised.

I'd have a watch of the replay.
-
O'Riordan MOTM. Think he's looked very good.
-
FT
-
That’ll do me.
-
Yep, a bit nervy at times but a good first game
-
Was Handball,5 years plus ago those type of handballs would never have been given, but things have changed.Glad it was given today :scarf:
-
Looked like it took a quick deflection on to his hand slightly brushing it. Soft IMO.
-
A win is a win, we dominated possession, but it was all a bit uninspiring in my opinion
-
Definitely a handball. Sat pretty much right behind it.
-

That's illegal in public, and might not have finished soft.
I'll take that penalty all season.

Be very interesting to see next sat line up at Mansfield.great result but some questions to be asked. Well done rovers.
-
Someone needs to get on the end of Middleton’s crosses
-
Anyone going to comment on Molyneux's passing? Obviously still recovering from the Sal (I think his right foot may still physically be in the Sal).
We were commenting at the game on how out of sorts Mols was and he was a long way from being at his best.
I can claim credit though for saying that he would probably get the winner.
Nice to see a couple of new posters on here today too.
The atmosphere in the south stand was great today apart from what appeared to be a fight among our own fans which happened for a couple of minutes.
