saw on white board at ticket office yesterday that alliance members get 1 ticket for a tenner + 1 free
Do the maths, I'm sure halving the price won't double the attendance.

Steve, I understand your point, but the club are committed to maintaining a price advantage for season ticket holders. A couple of seasons ago that was under threat due to the amount of deals that were on offer and we used that information to ensure the club pitched their future pricing at the right levels. All clubs, ours included have a budget which they need to hit, the quickest and easiest way to do that is to raise prices! Dropping prices means a reduction in revenue which then has to be met somewhere else. Our club, almost uniquely, have a very high percentage of st holders who are either concessions, juniors, or family tickets. The upshot of that is that the average take per head at a Rovers game is very very low, somewhere in the region of £8.Some time ago we requested that the club eliminate match category pricing, which they've done. But again the upshot of that is trying to establish a balance. Yes you would expect a lower price to see Yeovil, but by the same token you would expect to pay much more to see Leeds, SWFC etc etc. The club, to their credit haven't done that either.
DW- as a STH and Alliance member I don't recall seeing anything about the Yeovil game. There was an offer for Forest where Alliance members could buy a ticket for a friend at reduced prices and you could get two free tickets for the Burnley game. Not aware of any promos for the Yeovil one. I got an email or perhaps the newsletter which said Alliance members got a free ticket for Yeovil plus another ticket for £10. Have already been to TO and gift my freebie.

But in the the VSC survey, after the Bournemouth game, ticket prices was the highest stat for low attendance. So reducing ticket prices for this game might show more supporters at the game. It won't help me I have paid for all the home games up front, like many others.
