Sorry. I don't agree Bally I'ma child of the 70's. The reason i know about the Underground is because a mate of mine from school took the wind right out of my sails one day by announcing that he had soemthing important to tell me. That was that he was gay. Good God! anyway, he ended up taking me to the Underground. After the initial 'backs against the wall' moments, it was actually pretty good. the people in there were very pleasant and nobody was pushy. As he and I left Danum in 1974 and we met up when we were back from uni, he told me his news sometime between 74-and 78. Looking at that picture Wolfy I'm sure that it was the Dockin Hill Tavern until the 70s at least but my memory could be wrong. I did leave Donny in 1977.

The Underground in Bowers Fold later became Wellington Vaults.
