Another game where we had less possession and ended up winning…

Nobody has won more games than us now this season, and only two sides have lost less than us, one being Colchester.
Just shows how good we’ve been this season regardless of the negativity

I think it is frustration rather than negativity, we could all see the superior quality of Rovers compared to most if not all the opponents this season, and yet we have lost points when they seemed vital at times. Today has justified all our hopes, finally we have been given a break, and the lads took it! I just hope they can do the same job at home on Monday, they must be buzzing at the moment, they will be getting tired but adrenalin will carry them over the line I hope.

we can’t let that go ..it has been bloody awfully negative often on here much more than on the field of play .

We played quite a poor team, but we did the business. Three points and on to the next one. We face tougher games than this one, we needed the win for confidence.
Results have really gone for us today and Bradford yesterday.
I thought our goalkeeper was very solid, we looked light in protection for the back line at times.

We do need to keep hold of the ball better. The pleasing thing is when Molyneux got the chances he didn’t waste them.
Ennis looked lively when he came on, a goal would do a lot for his confidence. Nice to see Westbrooke back on the pitch.
In and out performance but really resilient and a good three points.

Brilliant results all round today. We're almost there! Next couple of games not for the nervous. One more big push and we can win this. Come on lads, you can do it. RTID.

They’ve shown recently they’re a good team, battered chesterfield 4-0 last week, the only game they’ve lost recently.
Nobody has lost fewer games this season than Colchester so that’s going to be a real tough game

They weren't great but they were top of the form table and had momentum behind them. I thought we might of got beat today due to that but we played very professionally and thoroughly deserved the 3 points.

I thought he looked a bit lost first 20, but grew in to the game a bit after that and had moments of quality and worked hard. Westbrooke looked tidy when he came on, and Kelly and Clifton worked hard. Good cover all round, but nothing outstanding enough to take the leap to league 1 if we get there.

Was interesting to watch the game from high up at the back of the stand and was really struck by how hard the team worked, not just the names mentioned but Street, Gibson and Crew were perpetual motion. Crew’s best game for me, his languid style with the ball worried me but he only got caught once today, used the ball well without trying to be too clever and is an absolute terrier without the ball. What a great away day.

I've a personal vendetta with Andy Crosby after he shouted at me to hurry up and give him the ball at a throw in when I was a ball-boy at Belle Vue. Luckily a man on the pop side gave me a finger of his kitkat and I pushed the trauma deep inside for 34 years. So I'm doubly invested in our victory on Friday!

Great day out. Fans were brilliant, squad put a shift in after only a few days rest and McCann got his subs spot on today too.

Molyneux obviously gets the plaudits for the goals but after he scored his third he was back defending behind sterry. A classic example of how to work hard for your team. That's more impressive to me than any goals and assists as his attitude is just brilliant.

Somewhat ironically he wasn't my motm. Anderson for me was what he was 5 years back. He won absolutely everything. He's been great the last few months.

Nobody can grumble today. I fear there's massive twists to come but a big step forward.  Those draws we've had last few could turn out huge.

Every game is massive. Hopefully in 8 days time we've done the business from the 2 home games.

Gonna win the league.
Hope so, but it would have been ours now, if we could have kept our disciplinary record in check

I thought he played ok. Showed some lovely touches & hes defo got a good football brain. One for the future no doubt, just a bit lightweight at the moment.

Great effort from all the team today, and it was a team effort. Its now coming to the point where "that big squad" will reap its rewards. We stumbled through the last two games, stayed in the fight and got a result, the lads were looking very weary after the effort at Salford but GM has manged to instil the belief that we have what it takes, Luckily we have players like Bailey who can step up and fill an important gap, together with big Tom they were magnificent today, for all the force and bluster they kept an inform team quite enough to allow us to do what we desperately needed, get the 3 points. We stuck at it today and we finally got some luck thrown our way, they say it evens out over the season but we had a big deficit.

Great to see Mols get his first hat trick and score his first penalty in normal play, he's a massive player for us , i just hope the wolves don't come calling in pre season and unsettle him, we need all the quality we have plus more.

Massive result today and the lads came through for us all. Monday will now be seen in a completely different light, one last push and we are in the box seats.

Really happy for GM, the pressure will have been massive, Monday can release that valve completely, come on lads one last push. WE can now all see the light.

Agreed about Anderson.

Absolutely immense today. As you say, that was the Tom Anderson who was central to the best team in L1 in 2000.

For all those attending there is to be a minutes applause on 7 minutes for Tranmere former player Joe Thompson who passed yesterday at the age of 36 from Cancer. Please be respectful losing your life is more important than any football rivalry!

Friend of mines brother in law. No age at all. Had the 'all clear' twice and got it a third time. Has a young family left behind. Absolutely tragic.

Terrible to hear this Ryaldinhio, it puts everything into perspective.

Credit to the Rovers fans today, we all joined in with the applause.

A wonderful away day today, I’m still buzzing and a day like this lives long in the memory.

Proud of all our players today, especially Moly, Tom, Street and Bails.

But a mention too for Charlie Crew. I’ve been a little critical of him because I don’t think he’s quite ready for men’s football but he was excellent today.
Picked their pockets several times and in doing so he stopped Tranmere’s attacks and turned the play around.

One lapse when he took too long and was robbed of the ball but that’s all part of his learning curve.

What a day.

I’m liking the look of the table tonight.

We just played to our strengths really well. Managed the game perfectly. Like Gaz said we won without having a lot of the ball, which is where we thrive.

Saying that I think we look better with the ball with Bailey centre back and Crew in centre mid. There were signs of clever play/patterns with Sterry, Crew, Molyneux on the right (3 of our best ball players).

We competed well on a difficult pitch in what appeared difficult conditions. We had a bit of luck which we have been missing of late.

As others said could have had five or six by the end as they left loads of space and we broke away several times.

Another win on Monday please boys

Always a good day out, I remember a few years back being referred to as the red and white tea-towel in the away end.

Hopefully we can get some fresh legs back in, and find a moment of quality and fortune to get us the points. I think lady luck hasn't always been on our side this season, the woodwork hits and lack of penalties is evidence enough, so I'm hoping she's signed for the last few games to get us over the line!
