O'Driscoll smiled when asked about his own future after being installed as joint fourth favourite to succeed Roy Hodgson at Fulham.
O'Driscoll said: \"I suppose I'd be miffed if I wasn't on the list being a former Fulham player but I've already got a job and I'm sure they'll be looking at bigger fish than me.\"

SOD said that when asked about the vacant PNE job after Alan Irvine had got the sack.

Then one week later he became a Gnats Chuff away from joining Burnley.

Barnsley have never been in the race to sign Sharp, their supporters hate him and the two clubs have been at war since the Hume incident. Robins has also stated that he's not interested in him. Their supposed bid in January was a load of rubbish only McCabe said they had bid, the Barnsley camp have denied it. Apparantly their main target is Keogh at Wolves and that's the answers l got from my Barnsley workmates this morning.

Sharp is staying put, how many other articles do we have to read before we believe this? Blackwell will be sacked by xmas when they are mid table a new manager will come in a treat Billy the Blunt like one of his own and all will be well. I can see it now.

Billy isn't going to the dingles. Nor will he ever go to the dingles.

There is another decision which is waiting to be sorted before anything happens with Billy.

But IF it was to wait and see if Blackwell is leaving that would not effect Billys choice to join us or not,it will only affect whether he will leave SUFC or not.Smitiai you have hinted Leeds are slight favourites above us If he does leave, the choice of which will be made if Blackwell stays and billys finally decided to leave.

Grayson has been heavily linked with Leicester. Could a Sharp move to Leeds depend on who their manager will be?

This is getting boring now. Sharp isn't coming. Lets move on.

Time to move our attentions elsewhere. Lewis Guy anyone?

Agree, this continued speculation based on the smallest scrap of 'information' is getting tiresome.

Disagree. We simply don't know. SOD/ROK probably don't know yet either! However, no doubt they will already have other irons in the fire, should BS not sign.

As 7 pages testify, this is the single most important topic to ALL Rovers fans presently, as, to a man (or woman), we all realise how important this signing could be to us.

I don't want us to catch a massive cold with this, like evryone else, BUT getting Sharpy could make a huge difference to our season, in more ways than the obvious one.

I think Grayson deserves the chance of finally managing a big club, after proving himself in the lower leagues for the past few years.

Grayson wont be leaving Leeds. He's a Leeds fan and believes they are progressing.

There's a lot of convolluted ifs and ands with this story now and it's getting silly. Well nobody else on here has said this so I will.  Why is nobody questionning for a minute smitiai's so called inside information?  Ok, so he predicted Billy joining us minutes before it was made public, (so he might know Billy's aunty's dog walker), that was only 2 hrs before the end of the deadline so doesn't prove a lot does it.

He says he knows Billy inside and outside of football.  Other than because Billy wants info put into the public domain, why would somebody who reckons to be a mate be saying stuff?  But then, to be honest, he hasn't said anything meaningful so it isn't Billy trying to get information out.

Sometimes i find this forum and its users a frustrating bunch..

I was saying about Billy because im as disappointed as everyone else about Billy not coming back to the Keepmoat.

And yes i do know Billy.. But i was trying to keep us all in the picture. NOT FOR SELF GAIN OR TO TRY AND PROMOTE BILLY.

Well my lesson learnt here is not to say anything.

Wont mention this subject again, or report of whats happened so far.

Over and out.

Bye bye. Maybe we can all wait and see without the wind ups, knowing or not, it is useless to speculate until signatures are drying. At least we seem to have found a pen now!

This is all becoming like part of the plot of 'The Third Man'.

We all want Billy at the Rovers, SO'D & JR included but,he's not coming....yet.

There are many if's & but's to this 'saga' however, if Billy gets enough starts with his home town club & knocks in a few, he'll be buzzing, as will their fans & whoever is in charge of the club as their manager at that time.

So, worst case scenario for the Rovers, is that he becomes a regular starter & goalscorer for the Blades, best case scenario for the Rovers is Blackwell remains in charge, Billy is constantly overlooked & spends 70+ minutes sat on the bench before being given a run out & becomes as disillusioned with his career as he was last year, remembers how much he enjoyed working under SO'D.

NEWSFLASH- BILLY SHARP WILL BE JOINING LEEDS UTD BEFORE THE START OF THE SEASON.

SH*T! Just when I was starting to 'fall in love' with the man.

i dont see the harm in what simitia has been putting up
weather its red herrings or not.

you read whats put up look between the lines then make yer own
hopes up around what other info you have come across on the subject.

if the fella is a wind up merchant it will all come out in the wash and if the case learn from it.

and if it turns out what simitia has been putting up is close enough to the truth then you will all be wnating to buy him a pint should sharp sign or not sign.

just to add my look on whats been put up todate 'simitia
says he knows sharp inside and OUTSIDE of football, that says
to us yer mans job might be in construction???from  reading
between all the line that is

LEEDS will continue to monitor Billy Sharp's situation at Sheffield United despite the striker's decision to remain at Bramall Lane next season.

In which article/interview did Sharp actually say \"I have made my decision and I will be at Brammall Lane playing for Sheff Utd for the 2010/2011 season\"???

cant we all just believe that JR and DRFC are doing all they can to get Billy here, there are things happening that no-one knows about that will decide Billys future but we cannot be held to ransom! if/when Billy signs we all need to show gratitude to the DRFC team for what they have achieved getting him here, but if we fail we must accept its not for the want of trying!!

Don't want to get anybodies hopes up ,but a 'little bird' told me today that the story so far is Billy would like to stay at Blades but this won't happen whilever Blackwell is there. he has told them he doesn't want to go to Leeds, he doesn't want to go to Burnley, there is only one Club other than the Blades for him!.

Now blades arent happy with our latest offer and are hanging on to see if any club comes in with silly money and a daft wage deal that he can't turn down.
So it looks like its a bit of a waiting game, JR has got his'poker face on' B)

Congrats to my informant! a source of info I shall cherish! B)
