The stance that we should all take is to support every player that the manager picks during the game unless they do something so ridiculously stupid to warrant criticism.

Very rarely have I seen players do that.

If it's not working out for them, then it's the manager who should take responsibility and make a change (if he can). If not it's the manager who should attract the criticism.

Criticism of players during the game is not going to give them the confidence when invariably they know themselves if it's not working.

It's perfectly acceptable to criticise their performance in the forum and debate differences of opinions as long as it isn't crossing the line of becoming a personal attack on the player.

Just my opinion for what it's worth.

That's forums for you. Mind you what else are they good for if not for arguing the toss and trying to out-fan everyone else?

Moaning's not a new thing, it's always been part and parcel of the game, although internet forums provide a great outlet for it.

It's not moaning I object to, it's the way it's done these days. Since when did abuse and complete denigration of individuals by social media get passed off as banter? It's not banter, abuse is abuse.

I for one wasn't aware that abuse and denigration of individuals did pass off as banter. It certainly doesn't in my book, whether it be Theo Robinson, John Ryan, or anyone mentioned on this forum.

On the other hand though, banter sometimes passes off as abuse, especially when people choose to use it as such to strengthen their arguments.

Just seen Robinsons penalty again, Jesus wept it was poor. worse than woods at Newcastle, at least he put his foot through it.
Robinson just seemed to roll it to the side of the keeper. O

There is a reason he was 5th choice at Derby, and a reason they got rid of him.

Have you ever posted a positive?
I can't remember one.
I've seen Alec Jeffrey miss one after pointing to the goalie whe re he was going to put it.
He was a far better footballer than Theo will ever be.
Get a life. I
