I remember this season when we played there, there was groups of kids trying to get at each other around the pub car park just outside the ground

   it's bloody ridiculous,there are derbys going off somewhere mosts weeks in the Football league and they don't feel the need to change the times..Humberside police do this as standard for our games now,they do it everytime we play them...Probably more to do with overtime and costs than anything else...

I'd have more time for them if they put more effort into looking after normal people rather than following their politically correct agenda.

The sad thing is the so called intelligence will be from members of the risk groups saying “ we are taking 100 lads and will be looking for or have arranged disorder and or confrontation”

The reality is always something a bit different, and usually a non event.
No police force in this country will negate intel of this sort though, however thin it may be.
Humberside don’t have the cops S Yorks do and invariably it will have a cost implication. Don’t forget , policing games outside grounds falls on the local plod and taxpayer. An early kick off may mean slightly less cops on duty and therefore less cost.

One of my son-in-laws is a police inspector, rising through the ranks from a PC.
He is as frustrated as a lot of us at some of the hoops that they have to jump through.
He also hates summer bank holidays when loads of Chavs go out in the garden for a barbie and cheap lager and then tie up lots of officers needlessly.
