His positional sense was immense last season gone Billy, he had to cover the left side as well which was when his pace stood out.
Things got better for Anderson who had Bailey with him hence the improvement in results, both players knew what they had to do and kept it simple, which released the wing backs, and the keeper was more confident.

No, GM said, in his interview, that he’d had positive discussions with a player prior to his interview and was having further discussions the next day. He hoping for positive news later this week and there could be an announcement soon.

My guess said player is a defender, as Grant has known before the end of the season that Joe was leaving. He’ll want to tie someone down quickly to take the sting out of the news that Olowu was leaving.

He’s also said he was not having his usual family holiday this year, as it was important to get some progress with these 6/7 new lads in the building. Interesting few weeks ahead.

Good spot. I missed that first time round, probs cos I was waiting to hear what he said about Olowu.

Bit of a concern and a shame he feels he needs to rearrange his holiday plans, as he deserves a break. .

Grant likes to have his core of players in place so that they’re there when pre-season starts & the ‘new players’ can integrate with the group asap.

It would be more of a concern to me if he was to ‘swan off’ on holiday for 3 weeks & we missed out on targeted players because the manager wasn’t available to ‘sell’ the way he envisioned them fitting into the way he wants his team to play & how he saw their role within the team.

I don’t think Grant will ‘rest’ until we’re an established Championship club such is the man’s drive & determination to get the club where he perceived it should be the day he was offered the post again.

Absolutely he deserves it but I suspect his definition of ‘business done’ is very different from what we might perceive it to be.

Sounding like he's a man on a mission! Loving this.
