What a strange and unexpected pleasure it was to meet Sir Ian McKellen at our regular first Thursday of the month Doncaster Rovers London branch meetup. Shame low turn out. Lets hope those who are able make it next month. Cant gaurentee any famous actors but good company and beer. The Coal Hole is on the Strand in central London.

Did he stand in your way when you went to the bar and shout 'You shall not pass!!!!'
I'm just putting my arms in the coat sleeves, by the way.

What was Sir Ian's opinion on season ticket sales? Was he disappointed with us not reaching 6500, before the big kick off?

We had him at Doncaster Little Theatre (before we got JR in), lovely fella! Smokes like a chimney - but never his own, always people prepared to offer him a smoke! Looked a right scruffy bugger too he did as well, but a true gent and a pleasure to speak to nonetheless!
