Watford v Rovers
« on September 10, 2010, 06:12:11 pm by DonnyBazR0ver »
Surprised I'm the first to kick off on here, may be lots still staggering home from the races.

Whether you're disappointed or not with the outcome of this weeks transfer speculation, I think we've still got enough to take 3 points tomorrow.

I thought we looked good v Hull and Oster made a distinct impact on his return. I felt more comfortable with Sam Hird at the back in the second half and I would be disappointed if we were to change the presence of a more pacy centre back.

Sure, Danny Graham, if fully fit, can be a threat but I expect us to overwhelm Watford where it hurts. Billy's yet to score from open play so what better time to start.

2-0 Billy and Copps celebrating his contract extension.

Up the Rovers !!

Due to the great marketing by Watford FC four of us are now travelling down tomorrow

I also feel confident and am predicting a nice 1-3(Copps,Billy and Woodsy) :)

Think will be an end to end game sulli will be hero in nets again by keeping a clean sheet.

Billy to break his open play duck and Copps to celebrate contract extension by scoring and running into sods arms    also Stock brings his 'A' game, with him and Oster running the show.

3-0 rovers

Just shows how we've moved on. Well happy we scored 1 on our last two visits and now we're expecting to score 3 !

I'd luv it, say luv it if Steve Brooker got on and scored a goal. Full circle. Put his nightmare 2 years behind him and give us that plan B that we've been missing.

We've never scored more than 2 in a match against Watford, and our biggest winning margin is 1 goal, either 1-0 or 2-1.

Today's the day to alter that.

From the BBC:

Quote
Sean O'Driscoll begins his fifth year as Doncaster Rovers manager, and a victory on Saturday would make this the club's best start to a league season for 15 years.

Not since 2003/04, when they won promotion from the Conference, has Rovers' points total been in double figures after the first five matches of the season. And not since 1995 have they achieved that feat as a Football League club.

• Doncaster's only league victory at Vicarage Road was a 2-1 win in the Fourth Division in January 1960.
• A win for Doncaster would be the 400th away league victory in the club's history.
• Goalkeeper Neil Sullivan is in line for his 600th club appearance and James Coppinger his 250th league start.

More records to be broken today.

Good win for Rovers today, Watford to give us a hard time for twenty minutes, then we take control. 1-2

Wayford will be pumped up to get their first home league win of the season, and against a pub team at that!

Tight game. 1-0 either way.

Fingers crossed here as well.  Not feeling as confident as some of you lot above, 1-1, Brooker or Shiels to score an equaliser off the bench after Billy's marked out of the game.

Beat me to it on Mason. Brooker won't be ending his famine either! Shouldn't be surprised but did think Hird did enough against Hull to earn his place.

Be interesting to see how Mutch gets on for them, he'll know our midfield well enough.

Disappointed we've got the gruesome twosome at the back but hey ho, off we go.

That bench highlights our need for an out and out striker, if Billy gets injured we have no striker, only midfielders to come on

Have you got a TV stream?
(I'm tucked in bed on doc's orders, not too far from Watford which is annoying)

Why no Brooker?  He ALWAYS scores for us when we play Watford...
