Anyone else watch it? Funniest thing I've seen in years.

Still pissing myself over the en suite shed, classic

Man v Food

I've been watching it too. Not the funniest thing I've seen, but a nice different slant on the world around us (although Michael Palin was far superior on his voyages). I'm sure most of what he's saying is scripted and done on a take 10 basis. I would even suggest most of the retorts are written by Stephen and Ricky.

Now, something different and for all you who love decent fodder. Man v Food is quality. It's on the Food channel (about 2 or 3 down from Sky Movies 301) around 8-9pm each evening. If you stereotype the 'in your face' 'attitude' New Yorker type and look, then you have the host Adam. He go's round America trying to eat eat/finish the biggest pizza'a, biggest omelettes, suicide 6 (the hottest chicken wings), slider (12 big burgers). The food he tackles is absolutely bang on, but obviously needs to be cut smaller for me, none of this nouveau cuisine mini portions shite.

For some reason I find all cookery progs very therapeutic, and I have never cooked in my life (and not proud of that either). I will get into this shit one day, I think I can be a contender. Watching Nigella is also arousing as well as therapeutic, but that's for another thread.

Not sure what the Idiot Abroad is, but the daughter in law is always drawn to the american food channel (think it reminds her of her fat repulsive father)

I have to say I dont think I have ever seen any food on there that I have thought mmmmm..... and my God can they eat!

Watched one about a burger competition, I can honestly say we sat there and were awestruck at the thought that anyones mouth could open wide enough to stuff monstrosities like those in them...

These were the John Holmes of the burger world.....

Thats abit harsh on Karl, he's funny as f**k in his own right, i even read one of his books \"Karlology\" on holiday this year. To me he is funnier than Gervais & Merchant put together, realist humour, its the way forward!

I've never seen Man v Food on the Food Network but it sounds disgusting!  :-)  Sorry.  I like the cooking shows better.  Try 'Everyday Italian' with Giada -- good recipes you'll want to make for the famiglia.

Got to admit it would be funnier if Ricky did not laugh like a big girl all the time, total t**t.
Hope they do one on the middle east,I could write a script for them.  :headbang:

Fully agree, can't stand the bloke, I think you would struggle to find an unfunnier 'comedian'.

Idiot Abroad is brilliant though, only seen one episode so far but not laughed so much for ages. As you say, if they could just cut out Gervais and his massive fake squealy laugh it would be perfect.

I googled him..

wasn't sure how to spell his name, or if I had the right chap even...I think he is an actor in arty action flicks involving very large props....

And no, hand on heart I honestly don't know what he looks like. I used to hide in the bathroom when I heard the tunes floating through the living room when my ex hubby was watching said action flicks....

Shuddering at the memory as I type!  :X

I don't think Jucy was intentionally having a go at you mate. She was probably referring to the actors who do straight porn.

I've watched five minutes and already want to punch the t**t. He has been given an amazing chance to see the world, and he acts like a Kitson disrespecting other cultures, in some pathetic attempt at being funny. I would love to do some of those things, and wouldnt be scared of showing that I was enjoying myself.
Cant watch anymore, its pissing me off.

Oh dear, would it be a good comedy show if he went to each location and said \"that's amazing\"?

You clearly don't know who Karl Pilkington is, what he has done in the past and the point of this show. Infact, that post was so stupid, I'm calling troll.
