Unfortunatley this is becoming more of a trait in todays society. 4 pubs(Bar Intemission, The Green Dragon, The Four Brothers) all within 10 mins walk from my house are either flatend/boarded up/or in the process of being converted into flats. The pub culture is slowly but surely being eradicated from our society. People would rather stay in, go round friends/family than spend cash in a boozer. IMO most blame lays at the feet of two parties 1. The government for charging exssesive duty on alcohol and 2. The supermarkets, for there loss/leader alcoholic drink promotions(not that I`m complaining about them!!).Medway as most places are these days is full of closed pubs, sign of the times I`m afraid.
Didn't the landlord die or something?
