I'm not sure I could wish death on Cameron as he hasn't ruined the lives of millions of people (yet!), but the old bitch - well, I'm sure I am not in a minority here when I say she's the one exception to my own personal 'not wishing death on anyone' rule.

All of a sudden I'm getting a mental picture of a very public Tory outpouring of grief when Thatcher does fall off her perch... I bet we see Cameron et al with their grief stricken faces on TV making out that she was a great person when the day comes. Just the thought is making me feel sick.

I made sure I was out of the country when Diana got married. I did the same when she was buried. I sure as hell am not going to be here to listen to the hyperbolic hagiography when some hero sticks a rusty knife all the way up her. Or some sweet little bugs do what little bugs always do.

Hopefully tomorrow will be the day - I'm off round Barnsley for a beer tomorrow night.  I cant think of a more appropriate place to celebrate her passing.

Wot time you out Rob? I'm out after work for a few tonight - probably be in Walkabout between 5 and 7?

over the past decade or so, i had actually forgotten just how much i hate the Tories. Ken Clarke- nice chap, anyone who dresses as bad as me and wears hushpuppies has got to be ok, Michael Portillo- a very good presenter of gentle travel programmes, William Hague who has effortlessly passed from 65 year old teenage Dalek to political and sexual failure, even that grey chap who shagged Edwina Currie wasn't that bad - a comparatively harmless bunch compared to the cynical New Labourites who had stolen their suits and policies.

but now it all comes back to me. i remember the recession of the 80s. losing my job, the feelings of hopelessness.

and i remember the Poll Tax riots and being part of a mob in Cheltenham chanting 'burn the witch, burn the witch' as we tried to storm fences and barricades.

for me the hatred is returning as i feel true evil is back again, and she was the start of it.

the Champagne is on ice ready to celebrate her death, i can't wait.

Having a few this week too, Rob?  I'll see you in the walkabout again.

Hopefully, Maggie can oblige us this week.

I find it quite ironic that certain people are wishing death upon her. Especially as a couple of those saying this were absolutely against the death penalty.

Thanks for pointing this out. I'll counter with the immortal words of F Scott Fizgerald:
\"The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposing ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function.\"

I am perfectly content in both being against the death penalty and looking forward immensely to the old bitch's (hopefully, imminent) demise.

NB: He also said, \"a sense of the fundamental decencies is parcelled out unequally at birth\" which goes a long way towards explaining the existence of Tory supporters.

Exactly what I come to expect from someone who is sympathetic of the cause to the 9/11 and 7/7/ terrorists. I presume you wouldn't wish death on the likes of Bin Laden?

I hope she hangs in there a bit longer. If only to piss the likes of you off.

I don't know about first-rate intelligence, but you're definitely a first rate arse hole.

You reaaly haven't got the first idea have you?

I'm missing the match tonight as I am attending a meeting for work tomorrow. Any ideas what I do for a living? Course not, but if you did, you'd know just how f**king clueless those comments of yours are.

I would love to do, but can't.

Suffice to say that you have the typical right-wing attitude that assumes that everyone with a left-of-centre view harbours a deep hatred of this country. Trust me. Both professionally and in terms of personal beliefs, you are miles off the mark.

You would also struggle to find anything I gave ever said in here, out of here or even in my sleep that could in any way be deemed to be sympathetic to the 9/11 or 7/7 terrorists. I think that if you pondered for a fraction of a second, you would retract that.

What are you? An MI5 agent or something?

To quote BST:
\"1) Look at it from the other side and there are clear and obvious justifications for Lockerbie, 9/11 and 7/7.\"

Justify/sympathise. All the same in my book.

I also like how you point out my personal beliefs are miles off the mark. That's what they are. Personal beliefs. Not for someone like you to decide if they are right or wrong.

1) You are confusing the ability to see an argument from another person's viewpoint (a fundamental skill of civilised humans) with a belief that this means you AGREE with that viewpoint.
I'll give you an example. I fully understand why Thatcher implemented fundamentalist monetarist economic policies at the depth of the 1981 recession. I still hope she spends all eternity being buggered by the three-headed hound of hell for having done so. Equally, I understand the reasoning behind 9/11 and 7/7. I still think the perpetrators were criminal mass murders and that future repetitions must be stopped.

Get it?

2) I was saying that your interpretation of my opinions and beliefs was way off the mark. YOU in the other hand, are free to believe what you want. As you show regularly, there's no reasoning with some folk.
