Marketing birthday card from the rovers!
« on October 14, 2010, 06:03:06 pm by Bikka »
Just received a birthday card from the Rovers offering me the chance to celebrate my birthday in style.

It starts with, 'Have you thought about how to spend your day yet?', urm yes about a month ago too late, if the marketing team are going to get this right they need to send the card a month before the customers birthday, not a month after it!

Pi$$ ups and breweries come to mind!

I got one just before my birthday back in July - one of my parents got one this week, and their birthday was early September.

Useless!

Right then,

I got a Christening Card for my own bloody christening last week asking if I wanted to celebrate it with DRFC, with an appearance by Donny Dog.

Bloody rubbish Donny

I too received a this birthday card from Rovers yesterday. Only 3 weeks late in my case. Maybe they hadn't taken into account time lags in the production/mailing system.

I also got a card this morning as did my mother whose birthday is in two weeks.  My birthday is on Tuesday the day of the Derby game, bit late to organise anything but actually it's a good idea these cards.

Mine came today, my birthday was the 8th so they may be getting nearer. At least they are trying, maybe they are rushing things and getting confused.

I've just received a Get Well Soon card from the club with a personal message from Syd Bycroft.

It says, \"We know you run a ration book swindle you little spivvy runt, and Mr Doherty and me want some salt off that hokey block you keep wrapped up in a copy of the Daily Herald in the cubby oil. Otherwise, we're going to use your knackers for conkers.

PS: We know where you live.\"

Accompanied by a grainy photo of Syd staring at the camera and making a gun shape with his fingers.

Bloody useless Donny.
