Anyone know of a suitable phrase to put these people off, without telling them to fcuk off? Just been to the shops and was asked 3 times one set didn't even have a guy ffs!!!

Of course I have, but nowadays, theres moral issues raised by such an act isn't there?  

The kids nowadays are more likely to spend the money on cheap cider or even drugs than the fireworks that used to be bought years ago! You can end up putting them on the road to ruin by just participating in such a tradition!

Anyway what is the acceptable amount nowadays 20p, 50p, a quid?  Anything less is likely to be met with a \"tight cnut\" as soon as your about 25 yards away!!!!

Sav, apart from the throwing the guy over a wall, GR is correct! A few times I have only given 1p for the guy only to be given the response \"is that all?\" My reply being \" well you only asked for 1p, if you wanted more then you should have asked for more....business is business\"
