....and Rangers fans claim to be English.

This leaves the SPL looking distinctly foreign.

Don't forget the \"Irish Free State\" tacitly supported Nazi Germany during WW2. Then again, the Nazis and the IRA would have got on like a house on fire.

Celtic fans claim to be Irish anyway. If you ask them, they have nothing at all to do with Scotland.

But that's not true is it Rigo, admit it you just made that up by the fact that they play in green and     have a disproportinate amount of Catholic supporters.

I don't for one second though believe that the banners were made by anyone other than the militant irish contingent, as having spent plenty of time in the deep south of southern Ireland this kind of thing is openly accepted.

I think maybe some of our Hereford Hooligans should pay a visit to Celtic and drop a handgrenade in the middle of the arseholes.
They have the freedom to hold banners up like that because of the sacrifice our armed forces make around the world, with some unfortunatley paying the ultimate price.........Lest We Forget.

Churchill also talked with Hitler and Stalin when it suited. We didnt get involved in the war until the Nazis threatened British economic interests invading Poland conveniately ignoring the democratic country that had been invaded. The point i am making is we are not whiter than white.Churhill wanted send the tanks in to sort out the Welsh miners. The UK invented the concentration camps in South Africa. As for Ireland try reading their history from an objective perspective and you will see why they are so messed up.Going back to Afganistan it was not that long ago that they were being praised for killing Russians. We are all sold a moral argument to go to war on all sides but i have found that there is always a powerful economic motivater that cynicaly takes precedance over these from the powers that be.The love of money makes strange bed fellows and it is our sons that ultimately pay the prize.

Glasgow Rangers fans are fiercely proud to be british, 99.9% are proud unionists. To say otherwise would be a huge insult to them i'm sure.

They cant have their cake and eat it .If they are proud to be British why do they align themselves with devolution and the SNP an anti English movement. Why do they play the orange card everytime something they dont like gets democratically put through by the English parliment. Dont get me wrong ime all in favour of devolution .I would love to set up a yorkshire parliment if it meant getting away from Tories but i would not like to see a return to the sectarian politics that if left unchecked could ultimately lead to a system of ethnic clensing that we have witnessed in other parts of the world.

But the British Celt clearly labels a Pure Brit as a small ginger man, the typical Anglo, any variation shows your ancestors are more than likely Italian, French, German, Spanish or Norweigan (may vary),

So if a small ginger man is the true British Man, than surely without Scotland we have nothing British?

Spot on, we are a mongrel race.My ancesters were apparently Spanish through survivors of the armada who intergrated with the southern irish. This is word of mouth of course ,oral history if you like which may conflict with official history written by the conqueres. It all boils down i supose to who you choose to believe. As for gingers there are a few in my family but i dont suppose you can have everything.I suppose the point i am making is i dont think i am genetically superiour to any of my nieghbours unless they support Leeds of course, which is the ideological basis of all right wing inspired thinking who are in my humble opinion  tools of the highest order.

I see a group of Muslims decided to burn the poppy yesterday. Apparently, the thought is that they were a splinter group of Islam4UK who's quest it was to turn the UK into a Muslim state.

I must say that having read the comments on this thread there appear to be a lot of generalisations made about muslims. Not all muslims are extremists just like all catholics  are not members of the IRA.In fact ordinary muslims are and have been historically the main victims of these very people we see on our tv screens. Many muslims fought and died in the second world war to protect the freedoms we enjoy today and this should not be forgotten despite the hysteria being generated by the press.

I agree with most of that, but I do believe that the Muslim community does n`t do enough to dis-associate themselves from these fanatics.

Fair comment but then again i dont know any muslims to validate this other than what i see on the telly  which is hardly objective. What i do know is many muslims object to the war in Afghanistan as many folk in this Country do.To draw a parralel anology i agree with a united ireland but do not support the IRA.Does this make me a terrorist?I have argued against them on moral and tactical grounds as 1) it is wrong to kill people and 2) terrorism does not work. However, i can undertand the historical grievances that led to this conflict.Similarly i dont believe the fanatics wake up one morning and think ime not doing anything today i know ille go out and kill an infidel and get myself some fresh pussy in the afterlife as the media would have us believe. The historical reasons are far more complex and culturally deep rooted.I do believe however that they believe they have genuine grievances regarding the role of the West probably dating back to the crusades. One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter. In a sense we have been insulated in this country as wars have been fought by proxy in other peoples back yards but the chickens have now come home to roost.Like Ireland however it will one day suit the powers that be to negotiate when they feel it is in there own interests. Most conflicts that have not ended in genocide have historically done this.My argument is why not do it now and save countless loss of lifes before the inevitable happens. It may sound utopian in this climate but thats what was once said about ireland.
