Football League Show and Barnsley Game
« on November 28, 2010, 06:33:31 am by allezallezallez »
What a joke this programme is. Manish referred to Barnsley as \"the Robins\"  Clearly a massive football fan.

Given the weather will the game be frozen off?

Yes, I'd imagine the game will be called off on Saturday looking at the forecast next week.

Doesn't look good, does it? Freezing temperatures for most of the week with the threat of snow.

Scunny managed to get their game on. Look at the pitch at Middlesborough. Preperation is the key.

On another note. The attendance at Scunny. 4300, with 600 of them from Coventry. And we think we have problems attracting fans.

Tommorow's youth game at the Keepmoat has been called off due to the weather.

The main pitch is under covers, and has been since before the snow.

The youth game was going to be on the main pitch. I can't see it being on. A bit of cold weather and DRFC grinds to a halt.

Maybe the youth game was called off so that the covers can be kept on to protect the pitch, although with the grass being covered for such a long period, it may damage the Grass as it won`t be able to breathe

To be fair, if everyone pulls their finger out, there is absolutely no reason why this game should be called off.

It matters not a jot if the pitch is perfect. If the safety police deem conditions around the Keepmoat to be too dangerous for Joe Public, the match will be off.

The roads are fine. The gritters have finally been out. Time for whoever is responsible to start gritting the terracing and walkways. Not like they haven't had enough warning. Its been freezing for 5 days now.
