iPhone Query
« on December 13, 2010, 03:38:11 pm by CusworthRovers »
Anybody know how to stop old emails keep repeatedly coming back on my phone.

For example. My phone keeps loading up over 3000 emails from my PC. I want them deleted so I can tell if I have any new messages. I have deleted them all and they have just loaded up again ie the same emails that I have deleted.

In anticipation

Have you deleted them on your PC too? I had a similar issuer with hotmail on my iPhone (before it was pinched!). I would delete messages on the handset but they'd still be there on the computer.

What are you using for your emails?
They need deleting from whatever mail server your using, which is probably why they keep loading up.

Thanks boys.

We have hotmail. The Mrs has done some deleting on the PC, however she's left loads on. At the moment the iPhone is not loading up any messages other than new ones.....strange

In your mail client on your PC there will be a setting to remove them from the mailserver when you download them to your PC.  Your PC will have all the mail you receive then held locally, and only the new mail received on the mailserver will come to the phone.
