Paul is wanted by Holloway as replacement for Charlie Adam if he gets his transfer.

Is Paul good enough to make it at Premiership level?

Short answer to that.....YES

Ball retension and distribution is first class. But more important for holloway is he is willing to run for 90 minutes. I think hed fit in at Blackpool but i just cant see Charlie Adam leaving, when Blackpool have made it clear the pricetag is £12m

I can see the word ''undisclosed'' being used, anyone?

Is my memory decieving me or is it not all that long ago when people on here were saying that Greeny's first touch was a tackle - now he is going to replace a £12m player!

Some people ought to take another look at the comments they are making about members of our current squad too, and think before hitting send.

I think the saying was that his first touch was so poor that his second touch was a tackle.  I'm not saying I agreed with it though.

Not the most technically spectacular player, but he definitely has the energy and work rate to keep up with the fast pace of the Premier League.

Good luck to him if he gets that move!

Great player. Sorely missed.

His energy, drive, committment is lacking in our team, Hayter and Sharp aside. Can you imagine where we'd be with this team right now? -

Sullivan
Roberts
Kilgallon
Mills
O'Connor

Coppinger
Stock
Wellens
Green

Sharp
Hayter

Not good enough for the prem IMO as much as I love him and want him back here.

A lot better players than him have failed in that league.

Derby fans at work say he is poor at the moment and has been dropped by Cloughie. I've not checked to see if he's been dropped just repeating what the guys I work with in Derby tell me.

Let's have him back on loan then  ;)

It'd likely be a step too far. He can't control the ball. He'd get found out sharpish. When people start to crowd him, he'd lose the ting more often than not. A real shame though. His running, goal scoring and none stop energy are just ace.

What ever level he's played at he's not let anyone down. When he's played for Ireland, he's not looked out of place.

With the likes of Varney, Evatt, Taylor-Fletcher at Blackpool, all players that we would not think good enough for Rovers, who are we to think Greeny could not cut it.

Take your chance Paul.
