Barnsley v Rovers
« on April 24, 2011, 10:46:00 pm by RobTheRover »
This is the one I really, desperately want us to win.  Performances over recent weeks have been battling and shown great heart from the lads, but this is the one where we can turn on a little more flair and get the three points we really need to seal our safety.  The Preston game was a \"mustn't lose\", as was the Palace game, and this showed in our approach to the latter stages of the games, but this is one where we dont have to worry about it being a \"6 pointer\" and the pressure will be taken down a notch.

I really want to see Copps get his mojo back with a goal!

Come on Rovers - a 2-0 win will do me!

As the waiter approached our table with both meals we had just ordered in the local restaurant, a load of Barnsley fans starting singing 'Barnsley til I die'.........I thought this was strange, until the Mrs pointed out on the menu that all meals come with a medley of vegetables.

Did you see that man from Barnsley make an appearance on Embarrassing Bodies recently. Fortunately he was pleased to be informed that the red rash all over his penis was just his mothers lipstick.

Shark, Lobster, Crab or Barnsley male; which is the odd one out?

A...The shark, as all the others wear shell suits and pinch like chuff.

9 Donny lads and 1 Barnsley lad in a rape case line up. In walks in the victim when the Barnsley lad shouts 'that's her, the ungrateful fat cow'

Barnsley have now got their own website with up to the minute advice on the techniques of Domestic Violence. It's called t**t-her

A Dingle and a Yank are 'new in' Aid Workers helping out in Japan.
Yank...You from round here buddy?
Barnsley....Naaah am from Barnsley tha nos
Yank....Oh yeeah, what states that in then?
Barnsley...Pretty much the same as this place to be honest

Are we all taking our free flags from Friday and create a bit of scene?

I fancy Rovers for this. I would keep Euell up front if we are setting our stall out not to lose. We all know how good Shack attack is in the air, so it's a non starter putting Hayts there......now Hayts and Euell together could set the cat amongst the pigeons.

I cannot see much change from Fridays line up (assuming Muzzy will make it), the only issue would be tactics ie do we push on more (via full backs, Moussa, Copps, Oster) or do we hold and protect.

It would be a nice joint chant of 'there's only 2 teams in South Yorkshire'.....banter aside, this game reflects totally the current situation that Ryan predicted, 'a major shift in the power change in Sth Yorks'. The historic norm will be L1 next season for 2 teams.

The mood is a little lighter today, but still a nail biter of a match I think.

Best wishes for today and have a great day out.  Fingers crossed for a point or 3!

Excellent write up as ever Glen, however I must annoyingly point out that we actually went 12 matches without a win in 2008-9 finally broken by our televised win over Ipswich :(

Not going today because it isn't free. I'll be tuning into Jeff Stelling like a proper supporter.

Line up:

Woods, Hird, O'Connor, Thomas, Friend, Gillett, Oster, Mason, Coppinger, Hayter, Euell.

Bench: Sullivan, Wilson, Shiels, Brooker, Souza, Moussa, Kilgallon.

No Dumbuya, Martis or Stock. Glad to see Mason and Hayter in- looks a very attacking line up. Brooker must actually be fit!

Change of ref- P. Walton not M. Halsey.

Interesting midfield,
                       Gillett Oster Mason

                           Copps Hayter

                               Euell

Could well be a chance for Copps to get forward in the centre more again.

Well, there should be plenty of movement and I'm not talking about in my pants !!

I hope Mason shows what he can do. A bit more direct than Moussa.

To be honest I see more positives than negatives in that scoreline.

Ooooh! :scarf: So who else is listening whilst watching the Championship live scores? Or maybe you're lying on a sun lounger with pint and a pie, busy with last ditch efforts on the holiday DIY?

Scunny wont be relegated officially today but the other two will be. As it stands ourselves and Palace are both 6 points ahead of Scunny with two games to go. So Scunny will have to win both games and hope they can gain a 17 goal difference on us. Or am I missing something?
